Last season despite some very low ratings, Showtime renewed The Affair for a second season. The numbers grew over the course of the season and the drama hit a new high in its season finale. Will the ratings continue to climb or will they fall? Will the show be cancelled or renewed for a third season? Stay tuned.
The Affair follows the emotional effects of an extramarital relationship between two troubled married people — a New York City schoolteacher/novelist and a young waitress. The story is told separately, through different people’s perspectives and biased memories. The show stars Dominic West, Maura Tierney, Ruth Wilson, and Joshua Jackson.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

I don’t think the Affair is that good of a show with low ratings .
I think the show should be cancelled ,
it’s really not worth renewing in the long run.
I think The Affair is well worth watching! Not many shows make you THINK like this one. Good story twists, excellent acting, {Maura Tierney, especially} looking forward to Season 3.
