Will there be a second season of The Alienist? Recently, the cast spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about the future of the TNT TV show.
Based on the Caleb Carr novel, the historical drama centers on Laszlo Kreizler (Daniel Brühl), an alienist, i.e. a criminal psychologist, who helps investigate a serial killer preying on boy prostitutes. The cast also includes :uke Evans, Dakota Fanning, Brian Geraghty, Douglas Smith, and Matthew Shear.
Season one of The Alienist already wrapped, but will TNT renew the series for season two? Luke Evans says the cast would happily return:
We all got on very well, and I think it was a very rewarding experience for all of us as actors. We’re very proud of what we’ve created. It was a limited series, and we’ve done the whole book, but if asked to go back, I think we’d all quite happily say yes.”

Yes, I would love to see a season 2 of The Alienist. Truly enjoyed the characters in their roles. This series was different than the usual shows on tv. Seeing the beginning of the profiler profession in the time period was enjoyable. Trying to solve the crime right along with the characters was fun and I hope to be able to do it again. Please give us a season 2.

I LOVED IT! Listened to the audio book and now I’m reading Caleb Carr’s follow up “THE ANGEL OF DARKNESS” –until the Series returns!
I would love to see this come back! It was so well done, so intelligent and fascinating.
