Airing on the FOX television network, The Cool Kids stars David Alan Grier, Martin Mull, Vicki Lawrence, and Leslie Jordan. The TV show revolves around a loyal but motley crew who live at a retirement community and will break any rule to have fun. Though they may be older, this quartet is far from done with life. The self-proclaimed “cool kids” are determined to make the third act of their lives the craziest and most interesting one yet.
The first season of The Cool Kids on FOX is averaging a 0.85 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.27 million viewers.
Compared to the other FOX TV shows of the 2018-19 season, the sitcom is a middle-of-the-road performer. The series started out really strong but the ratings lost steam as the season progressed.

I am furious over this cancellation! I haven’t laughed so hard in ages before watching, Cool Kids. There’s too many drama, crime and political shows on these days it’s hard to find anything to watch. We always record it and watch each episode several times over. We laugh so much we miss some of the scenes, so we have to rewind and watch again. One of my favs. These characters were well written and well performed. Leave it to Fox to pull a boner and cancel the only show I watch on their network.
Omgosh my hubby and I love this show!!!!! I really can’t believe that you are not renewing it. It is so good to have a show that gives me a good belly laugh . I am 61 and get tired of the crime shows and reality shows. We have enough horrific things going on in the world, so why put it on TV? Please reconsider the renewal of this hilarious show.
Since my husband and I are over 49, we absolutely LOVE this show. The people in the 18-35 age group probably don’t have any conception of this show!!! Have that it is being cancelled!!! people over 49 are important also…

Since we are over 55, we find this show very amusing and a good follow up to Last Man Standing! Most people in the 18 to 35 demographic probably don’t understand what is going on in the episodes! Hate to see this cancelled!!!!

Hopefully a real network will pick up this hilarious unique show. One of the few comedies that my wife and I actually look forward to wathing together.

The only thing I hate about Cool Kids is that its been cancelled. This show is hilarious and always has me laughing. I really loved watching it from when it first aired. For a show that is 1/2 hr time sure does goes by fast while watching it. I felt so sure that it was going to be a season 2. I sure hope that another network picks it up. This isn’t the first show that I really like that has been cancelled by FOX.
