Airing on the FOX television network, The Cool Kids stars David Alan Grier, Martin Mull, Vicki Lawrence, and Leslie Jordan. The TV show revolves around a loyal but motley crew who live at a retirement community and will break any rule to have fun. Though they may be older, this quartet is far from done with life. The self-proclaimed “cool kids” are determined to make the third act of their lives the craziest and most interesting one yet.
The first season of The Cool Kids on FOX is averaging a 0.85 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.27 million viewers.
Compared to the other FOX TV shows of the 2018-19 season, the sitcom is a middle-of-the-road performer. The series started out really strong but the ratings lost steam as the season progressed.

Why did they cancel an awesome show?? It was such a nice change of pace instead of reality shows. The show reminds me of classic comedy sitcoms back in the day. Just pure funny entertainment. I think they lost viewers because they had a few breaks in between episodes. Why did they do that? Why can’t TV shows play straight thru the season. So disappointing that they cancelled it. Love The Cool Kids! Nielsen, 18 to 49 is not the demographic for this show. 50 and up are laughing our arses off! Great cast. FOX, please bring The Cool Kids back.

I’m so upset fox has canceled The Cool Kids! What a refreshing comedy! With all the violence on TV it was so nice to see a clean comedy! The casting was spectacular and it was a great way to start the weekend with a laugh out loud comedy! Please Fox, reconsider!!!
Yes I would watch another year… this is one of the few tv shows that the older generation can enjoy and laugh at the idea of getting older! Something we can relate to…. love all the characters and the whole concept! Hope someone else picks it up… FOX you are losing a good one!
I will miss this show The Cool Kids. It was refreshing to have good writers that made me laugh alot w/this show. I’m sick of reality shows cause those shows are so fake. This show was really great & I looked forward to watching weekly. Why is it we get a good show where finally we have writers that know how to write a funny show & it gets cancelled. Cool kids was a great show! What a shame it was cancelled- this group of actors really did a great job working together,and it was too cool to see Jamie Farr again!
