Airing on the FOX television network, The Cool Kids stars David Alan Grier, Martin Mull, Vicki Lawrence, and Leslie Jordan. The TV show revolves around a loyal but motley crew who live at a retirement community and will break any rule to have fun. Though they may be older, this quartet is far from done with life. The self-proclaimed “cool kids” are determined to make the third act of their lives the craziest and most interesting one yet.
The first season of The Cool Kids on FOX is averaging a 0.85 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.27 million viewers.
Compared to the other FOX TV shows of the 2018-19 season, the sitcom is a middle-of-the-road performer. The series started out really strong but the ratings lost steam as the season progressed.

I so enjoy “Cool Kids”. I was hoping for a second, third, etc
seasons. I actually laugh out loud. I hate to hear that it
has been cancelled. One of my very favorite shows.
I would watch many more seasons of The Cool Kids. I hope NBC will pick it up. The fans will protest against the unjust cancellation. Whatever show Fox puts in it’s place will be protested against!

Wow. Really. They put this great show in a dead time slot and expect it to draw huge crowds. The cast works so well together. Why can’t Fox give a great show a chance to gain a foothold. I bet if it was on another night it would draw a great crowd. Shame on all of you at Fox. You have no loyalty to your cast or your viewers. BRING COOL KIDS BACK!
I absolutely would’ve watched Season 2. I loved the show and am so sad to hear it wasn’t renewed. Maybe it will show on another station?
The Cool Kids was a funny enjoyable show. Shame on Fox for canceling! True talent we haven’t seen in ages.
I loved this show and looked very forward for each new episode. The ratings may have been “down the middle” but only one season isn’t enough to cancel it. There’s many more sitcoms worse than this one…..”The Simpsons”, “911”, “Bob’s Burgers” (COME ON!!!!), “Last Man Standing” (REALLY???), “etc”. I hope FOX changes their mind on this. It’s about time they start showing what the viewers want to see!

I’m 18 years old and I watch this show with my parents who are in their 50s. This show is meant for all ages and every episode has a message! Plus, the cast was great and were portrayed in a realistic way! It saddens me that shows with meaning and significance are taken off the air. PLEASE BRING COOL KIDS BACK FOR SEASON 2!
Very disappointed to see that Cool Kids has not been renewed. I seldom find shows that I actually look forward to seeing. This show doesn’t just give mega laughs, but shows us a side of society in a realistic manner who are often overlooked on TV. The cast is GREAT and the show ALWAYS has a message. Please reconsider cancellation.
