Airing on the FOX television network, The Cool Kids stars David Alan Grier, Martin Mull, Vicki Lawrence, and Leslie Jordan. The TV show revolves around a loyal but motley crew who live at a retirement community and will break any rule to have fun. Though they may be older, this quartet is far from done with life. The self-proclaimed “cool kids” are determined to make the third act of their lives the craziest and most interesting one yet.
The first season of The Cool Kids on FOX is averaging a 0.85 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.27 million viewers.
Compared to the other FOX TV shows of the 2018-19 season, the sitcom is a middle-of-the-road performer. The series started out really strong but the ratings lost steam as the season progressed.

I think it’s ridiculous that Fox cancelled that show. Another reason not to watch that network. I hope another one picks up the show.
Please dont cancel Cool Kids!!! You cancel that and have that STUPID Hotel Paradise with Kristen Cavallari and a bunch of idiots running around seeing who they can hook up with just to win some money at the end of the show!! Its ridiculous.
I hope another station picks up this show. Great show, great cast. I’m so sick of game shows, reality shows and music talent shows. Can’t the older viewers have a show that doesn’t involve the younger generation? The reason the ratings dropped was because it kept being replaced by something else, I had to check every week to see when it was going to be on. Do not cancel Cool Kids ! It is one of the funniest shows on television! We love it and record it and watch the episodes over and over and over . My 12-year-old son knows the dialogue for every episode

Please Don’t Cancel COOL KIDS. ONE OF THE BEST COMEDY’S ON TV. IT RELATES TO THE OLDER GENERATION OR MIDDLE AGE. NOT EVERYTHING SHOULD BE CATERED TO THE MILLENNIALS. NO MORE GAME SHOWS.
Come on FOX….. you just know you only canceled this one because of the ages of the stars! Trust me, as a senior citizen, we’re all pretty sick of all the shows that are designed for young people &/or people w/kids still at home. What about the rest of us? You’re all gonna be our ages some day…. think about what you’re going to want to watch then! I say renew this one & give it a chance.
I love The Cool Kids! It was a laugh out loud show that I never missed. I like everything about it, from the cast to the writing.

This show was funny. Loved the characters. Laughed from beginning to end. Too bad FOX gave up on it so soon. Maybe they made a mistake. Maybe someone else will pick it up and we’ll be able to laugh once again!
I am truly disappointed this is being cancelled, these four are just too funny. the last show i watched said it was a season finale, not the series finale. I MOST DEFINATLEY would watch season 2 – every Friday night I get so excited to watch cool kids. I record it so I can watch it without commercials. Please reconsider and go for a 2nd season
