From creator Ken Woodruff, The Enemy Within TV show is a psychological thriller. The character-based drama centers on former CIA operative Erica Shepherd (Carpenter) and FBI Agent Will Keaton (Chestnut).
While Shepherd was once one of the CIA’s more gifted agents, she is now infamous for betraying the US and is currently serving out a life sentence in a supermax prison. Unfortunately for Keaton, he is in dire need of her expertise.
Even though it goes against his every instinct, Keaton enlists Shepherd in his effort to track down a dangerous fugitive, because she knows more about the target than anyone, and can think like a spy. Will and Erica may be motivated by different reasons, but they both know they must bring this perp to justice. One question remains: can Keaton trust Shepherd? Stay tuned.
Series Finale:
Episode #13 — Sierra Maestra
Tal’s war on the CIA expands to two fronts. Keaton and the Cointel team must locate the domestic target before Chigorin launches an all-out assault on the unsuspecting innocents. Shepherd convinces Keaton to let her go to Cuba to thwart Tal’s attack on Sierra Maestra, the CIA’s secret detention center imprisoning his operatives. Shepherd’s ever-shifting allegiance raises the question if she is there to stop Tal or join him?
First aired: May 20, 2019.
What do you think? Do you like The Enemy Within TV series? Should this NBC TV show have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Good, intelligent show. Good actors and believable situations. Too bad it was cancelled.
Good interesting show cancelled. What a shame!
And again… An enjoyable show gets cancelled. And networks wonder why the loose viewers.
Another good show bites the dust BECAUSE the “Coast watchers” ( east & West usa Cost line) didn’t G.A.D. for real fiction drama entertainment; while we the real watchers are forces to watch the other crap , so its up to Canada entertainment to bring forth entertainment – thus NBC wonders why they loose viewers … this was the first NBC show looking forward to watching in over 7 yr, advertisers loo se big, cause over 40’s HAVE MONEY to spend
I am so disappointed ! I loved the show and ready for my action/drama! Why do they always do this
Give it a chance!
canceled???? WTF
I just binge watched the 1st and now looking like only season. That is a major disappointment! I tuned in because I love Jennifer Carpenter, and while it was weak in areas, it grew on me, and I felt the second season would allow character growth and better episodes working things out organically…please bring it back for another round!
this show was addictive from the very first episode! he decision to cancel it was one of the worst decisions ever made.
Very good show, Perhaps networks should let a show develop and grow instead of presenting another string of mindless reality shows. Heaven forbid a show have writers and a story that requires an attention span over 10 seconds to be a hit.
Never missed a show, why was it cancelled? GREAT show!
This is a excellent show. It should not be canceled. One of the better shows on TV. Very bad if NBC cancels. I hope another network picks them up.
NBC should keep the series
Love this show…. I’m tired of networks let you get interested in a program and next thing you know it’s canceled… bring this series back!!! Please!!!
I love this show! Why do these networks let you get into a great show then boom, cancel it. I’m about done watching anything new until i know it is going to last. Stupid move NBC! Yet you all keep the dumb shows like Bachelor, Survivor etc. UGH!
Best show ever..full of action…I feel like I should stop watching NBC for cancelling..truly top notch show..acting was amazing..BRING IT BACK
I loved this show, so upset NBC cancelled it. I sooooo hope Netflix takes it on, it’s an amazing show, and shows just ow talented Jennifer Carpenter truly is…
I hope another network will pick it up. I think NBC is making a mistake.
