From creator Ken Woodruff, The Enemy Within TV show is a psychological thriller. The character-based drama centers on former CIA operative Erica Shepherd (Carpenter) and FBI Agent Will Keaton (Chestnut).
While Shepherd was once one of the CIA’s more gifted agents, she is now infamous for betraying the US and is currently serving out a life sentence in a supermax prison. Unfortunately for Keaton, he is in dire need of her expertise.
Even though it goes against his every instinct, Keaton enlists Shepherd in his effort to track down a dangerous fugitive, because she knows more about the target than anyone, and can think like a spy. Will and Erica may be motivated by different reasons, but they both know they must bring this perp to justice. One question remains: can Keaton trust Shepherd? Stay tuned.

Tal’s war on the CIA expands to two fronts. Keaton and the Cointel team must locate the domestic target before Chigorin launches an all-out assault on the unsuspecting innocents. Shepherd convinces Keaton to let her go to Cuba to thwart Tal’s attack on Sierra Maestra, the CIA’s secret detention center imprisoning his operatives. Shepherd’s ever-shifting allegiance raises the question if she is there to stop Tal or join him?

The Enemy Within should NOT be cancelled. Great actors, great plot line, and intriguing. Why is this being cancelled after only one season? I won’t watch anything NBC replaces it with, especially a reality show.

This should not have been canceled. I have enjoyed it. One of the better shows on NBC
Excellent show. We were riveted by every episode. Much like Homeland. Hope they revive it or someone can pick it up. NBC’s usual SNAFU.
I loved this drama. It had a really strong and invincible female lead and interesting plots. I feel bereft.
Why do they keep cancelling really good TV Shows I just watched The Enemy Within and I can not believe there is no Season 2. Maybe Hulu or Netflix can pick it up.
A very gripping and seductive drama. Writing and acting are top-notch. Nice cast of characters. Definitely should not have been cancelled.
I just watched the first season. I cannot believe it’s not renewed. I have watched every episode of Blacklist and find the Enemy Within every but as good as Blacklist! Please bring it back!

I liked this show, A LOT. I really dislike when they cancel GOOD shows with great plot and characters. Instead we get stuck with no talent BS reality shows and crazy game shows. Enough already. Give us entertainment, not mindless drivel. PLEASE.

Once again,they end a show & leave the audience hanging. So sick of that. Grey’s Anatomy goes forever,vampire & zombie fare gets a pass,but something intelligent gets cancelled after one season.

Will never understand why intelligent, well written shows are cancelled, while “Chicago ad nauseum” are renewed. This terrific show could , at the very least, been given a summer time spot in the primetime schedule.
this show the enemy within should be on the air great suspense,great actors,keeping us in suspense then they are stupid programs still on that are playing with our kids intelligence
