It’s official. Amazon has picked up the fourth season of The Expanse. Cancelled by Syfy on May 10th — the science-fiction drama has now been saved. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos announced the season four renewal, during a panel with the cast and crew at the National Space Society in Los Angeles. On May 21st, word broke that the online giant was poised to ride to the rescue. Now the deed is done.
A Syfy drama, based on the science-fiction novels by James S. A. Corey (the pen name for authors Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck), The Expanse stars Steven Strait, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Dominique Tipper, Cas Anvar, Wes Chatham, Shawn Doyle, and Frankie Adams. The story unfolds 200 years in the future, in a colonized galaxy, when two strangers are caught up in a vast conspiracy.

The cast’s chemistry was intriguing and the tri-lateral alliance makes for interesting plot twists. Please, “Sir may I have some more?”

I watch Prime all the timte, so I’m thrilled you picked up the excellent series, The Expanse. Syfy was not smart enough to keep it. Dropped several excellent shows recently, among them the fantastic, intelligent Dark Matter, and renewed juvenile shows like Killjoys. I am NOT a fan of Jeff Bezos, but I thank you sir, you might be a tyrant, but you are a tyrant with excellent taste! As long as it’s on SOMEWHERE, I will be watching it! Syfy? You are stupid! Thank you Amazon Prime!
Dunno how much Amazon is and can’t really afford monthly extras anyway.. but so long as the show lives on I can afford a one time purchase for the next season when it shows up on DVD!

You can watch season 1 & 2 of the Expanse on it now. Season 3 should be available after the current season 3 ends on Sci-Fi.

SYFY is poorly managed…I deleted their App after they canceled Dark Matter.
Yeah I just heard about them cancelling The Expanse I will be deleting it after this season is over.
Amazon should pick up Season 4 of Lucifer since it airs on Amazon Prime in the UK. Lucifer is one of the most popular TV shows on the planet and by picking up Lucifer it is an excellent way to get more subscribers thus generating more income for Amazon.
Why? So they could advertise tech products?
Well done, Amazon! Now, pick up the fourth season of Lucifer and the fifth season of Scorpion, please.

Now, do the same thing with Scorpion, Lucifer, The Tomorrow People, Home Fires, Jericho (2016 TV series), The Halcyon, Beowulf: Return to the Shieldlands, Atlantis, The Last Post, Primeval: New World, The Musketeers, Jekyll and Hyde, Brief Encounters, The Paradise, Goodnight Sweetheart and Star-Crossed. Bring all of them back for revived series or as sequel series, please.

It’s normal around this site. Amazon has most no budget. Hence show could be on for years…..with bad rating or good.
Dave, I would have voted you down, too, but didn’t vote at all because I don’t agree with all the selections you chose to be renewed by Amazon (I think it’s sort of weird to be talking about Amazon saving shows because I remember it when it was JUST about shopping!). The only two shows it could realistically renew are Dark Matter and Lucifer. The others are older and maybe we are over them. I might add The Crossing and Code Black, too, though! I love those shows.
