As fans of The Glades know all too well, the TV series was cancelled by A&E after four seasons, leaving a big unresolved cliffhanger. TV Line’s Matt Mitovich recently asked star Kiele Sanchez for her thoughts.
Since The Glades was cancelled (and no one I know that watched the show can figure why), will it ever come out who shot Jim on his wedding day? –Peggy
Having already asked Matt Passmore for his take, I more recently asked Kiele Sanchez if she knew who gunned down her TV groom. “I actually like to spread the rumor that [Callie’s] son shot Jim. But no, I have no idea who did it,” said the actress, who is now the female lead on DirecTV’s Kingdom (premiering Oct. 8).
Beyond that, Sanchez had no “optimistic news” to offer regarding any follow-up. As for her own Season 5 wish list, she hoped to see Manus’ and Carlos’ home lives explored, as well as see what married life is like for Callie, Jim and “a kid going through the awful teenage years.”
What do you think? How do you think the cliffhanger should have been resolved? Would you liked to have seen Jim and Callie as a married couple?
A&E sucks I will never watch that station again, cancelled the Glades and then cancelled Longmire two top hits and the Glade in Season 4 when Jim gets shot, not good A&E your losing viewers
What a terrible way to stop the series! Need at least One more series, who shot Jim? We need to know.
I think we need to retire this show it was the best and now it shows you can be arrived look they can be married look bones a great show this is better please finish with a happy or put a few more seasons
Network knew series was cancelled why did they just leave an ending and if not why not give a two movie to end it. Come on guys
I don’t know where the head of the person who is responsible for the cancellation is now, but I can tell you where it probably was when he made the decision… THIS WAS SUCH A GREAT SERIES! I’m with L.susan below..”we need happy, entertaining, shows like this” Also, It’s one series that didn’t depend on sex (showing people having sex all of the time-really soft porn), it was full of romance and really good mysteries. Something that most of the family could watch together. What a huge mistake was made…. So sad. I wish Fox or someone would pick the… Read more »
What a good show! Please create a happy ending as was planned for season 5…
We need happy , entertaining shows such as this,,,somebody pick up this series!!
Waiting patiently,,,,
My husband and I have been watching “The Glades” and got to the last episode in season 4, just to find out the series ended with a horrible cliffhanger, with no following seasons to conclude the series. This is not the only series that has ended abruptly, “Longmire” was another one. Like millions of customers, we pay money for Netfilx, and trust that you will invest in good TV shows that will not leave your customers disappointed and frustrated. Please do not underestimate your viewers, by thinking that the series you represent do not matter. Surely, you understand that your… Read more »
It wasn’t Netflix that created or first aired The Glades. The Glades is a crime drama television series, created by Clifton Campbell, that aired on the A&E network. Longmire was also a show that premiered on A&E with Netflix picking it up later on. There will be a final season of Longmire according to several sites I have visited. Season 6 of Longmire will be out later in 2017 from what I read.
It is NOT the fault of Netflix… try blaming and writing to A&E, who are the ones who decided to cancel when the show was UP to 3.4 million viewers…
Having just finished binge watching this great show on Netflix I too was extremely disappointed that we’ll not get to see beyond the shooting.
I will conjecture that either Roy, Callie’s criminal ex-husband, or Roy’s mother did the shooting. They clearly made the strange look on Roy’s mother’s face as grandson Jeff left her vehicle at the wedding venue very noticeable. Of the two, I’ve convinced myself that it was Roy’s mother. She always wanted Roy and Callie to get back together and took out her revenge on Jim for causing their divorce and closing the door on their reunion.
i was dissapointed to just finished today..by the way is not roy haha is ray
I agree! Ray is missing Marshalls think that he’s in OR., but I think he had someone use his ATM to make them think he was in OR… His mother was acting so strange… She knows he’s going to do it, or SHE did it for him… Great minds think alike!
Ending was horrible.
Loved the Show, HATED the way it ended… want to see a resolution – Jim get found in time, Carly finishes Med School, Ray goes back to Witness protection and they all live happily ever after for once! UGH! Netflix, please rescue this show from the dustbin, it was so fun to watch.
That’s a terrible way to end a series. Shame on the network!
Yes, after all they have been through I would like to see them married.
I just watched seasonn 4….only 4 episodes, now I know that Jim got shot…I just can’t believe this…yall have to do a season 5 and let them get married…this is craziness !!!
The glades have left a bad taste in my mouth. How can you leave your faithful followers hanging like this. I will no longer watch movies that can’t promise a respectful ending. I will also drop Netflix and rent DVD’s for my movie enjoyment. Signed one pissed consumer…..
You DO realize that Netflix is not to blame?? The Glades premiered on A&E with Netflix picking it up later on. There apparently there was a new executive to blame for the cancellation even though it was one of the highest rated shows they were airing, with an audience of nearly 4 million viewers. I wonder what or who this executive had a grudge against?
I watched The Glades when it was on the air as a first run, one episode per week show. I honestly did not remember that it ended so abruptly and so badly for us the loyal viewers. I have since watched it again on NETFLIX as sort of a binge. Had I remembered how badly the network ended it, I never would have watched it again. How rude, thoughtless, inconsiderate, and just plain lousy of whomever was responsible for leading all its viewers up to the edge and then just leaving us there. There were many other ways that series… Read more »
