The magic begins soon. Today, Syfy announced the premiere of its new original scripted drama The Magicians will air on January 25th.

The series is based off Lev Grossman’s bestselling fantasy novels.

The Magicians follows grad student Quentin Goldwater (Jason Ralph) and his peers at New York’s exclusive Brakebills University, “an exclusive graduate school for magicians.”

On January 25th, Syfy will kick off the series debut with a two-episode premiere.
