TVNewser reports that CNN has cancelled The Next List and the show’s executive producer, Jim McGinnis, is leaving after 25 years with the cable channel.
Hosted by Doctor Sanjay Gupta, The Next List aired on Saturday afternoons and profiled innovators and visionaries from the worlds of science and technology. Each half-hour episode features one person and tells their story of what they’re doing to change the world.
The show debuted on November 13th of 2011 and featured cyber-illusionist Marco Tempest.
What do you think? Did you ever watch this show? Are you sorry that it won’t be airing any longer?
I so miss this fascinating and super informative show. For some reason I remember seeing it on Sunday afternoons not Saturday afternoons as the description indicated. It was such a great show bringing to the viewers the latest innovations in some of the most unlikely places with some of the most innovative minds who aren’t known outside of their immediate circles. I would start a campaign to bring it back. In the meantime, are past episodes available to watch?
‘Twas not a bad show, but apparently there are too many similar shows and venues to learn of new science, etc.
