The Night Shift is getting ready for its third season on NBC, and there is new news about the cast of the series this week. The Hollywood Reporter shared that a new regular cast member has been added to the mix.
Tanaya Beatty, who was last seen on The 100 and Continuum, will join the cast as Dr. Shannon Rivera, a new intern at the hospital.
The Hollywood Reporter shared the following details about the character:
“Beatty will play Dr. Shannon Rivera, a recent medical school graduate who volunteered at the reservation clinic where she impressed Dr. Jordan Alexander (Jill Flint), who recruited her to intern at San Antonio Memorial Hospital. Shannon is spunky and outspoken and doesn’t have a problem speaking her mind — some people will love her, others not so much.”
Beatty is not the only new member of the cast. It was reported last month that Jennifer Beals was cast as a recurring cast member for the series. She will make her first appearance in the season three premiere, as reported in a previous TV Series Finale report.
