TV show description:
An Amazon Prime original series, The Tick TV show takes place in a world where superheroes have been real for many many years. The story begins as a nebbish and nervous accountant, Arthur Everest (Griffin Newman), develops a theory that The City (which is over-run with crime) is being secretly run by The Terror (Jackie Earle Haley), a horrific global supervillain who’s been believed to be dead for years.
As Arthur struggles to uncover more evidence to support this conspiracy, he meets and falls in league with a strange (sometimes clueless) blue superhero named The Tick (Peter Serafinowicz). Together, they begin an adventure that’s filled with crazy super villains, dangerous vigilantes, and freakish superheroes.
Series Finale:
Episode #22 — Choose Love!
The Tick, Arthur, Dot, and the rest of the family must battle The Duke and AEGIS itself. Miss Lint reveals her true goal and Superian weighs the pros and cons of accidental genocide.
First aired: April 5, 2019.
What do you think? Do you like the The Tick TV series? Should this TV show have been cancelled or renewed for a third season on Amazon?
I’d definitely watch it, whatever network or format it popped up again! Both my husband and I grew up with the original cartoon, and this is a wonderful update to it!
Please please bring it back! Maybe since we are all stuck isolated binge-watching TV it’s a good time to add some favorite comfort shows in new ways. I’m sure there is a huge audience for it!
I love this show! I feel a bit ripped off that we never got an origin story for the Tick even though they teased it over and over…
