A superhero comedy based on Edlund’s long-running comic, The Tick stars Peter Serafinowicz, Griffin Newman, Valorie Curry, Brendan Hines, Yara Martinez, Scott Speiser, and Jackie Earle Haley. The story unfolds in place in a world where superheroes have been real for many many years and follows a nervous accountant, Arthur Everest (Newman), and a strange (sometimes clueless) blue superhero named The Tick (Serafinowicz). Together, they begin an adventure that’s filled with crazy super villains, dangerous vigilantes, and freakish superheroes.
The pilot of The Tick was released in August 2016 and the 11 additional episodes of the first season were released in two batches, in August 2017 and February 2018. The 10 episodes of season two were unveiled on April 5th of this year.
Edlund revealed that The Tick had been cancelled by Amazon via a Twitter post:
I'm sorry to say Amazon has chosen not to proceed with @TheTickTV I'm not sorry to say I love this show, its cast, its story, and its message. Destiny demands that my compatriots and I now seek a new home for this series.

What do you know they canceled it! If it’s good or great they cancel it! If it’s mediocre they keep it. Bring back the Tick. The show was well done great characters. Great plots! Bring it back. Amazon thinks it’s Network television with crappy CEOs!!
This show was a surprise for us. A friend recommended it and were skeptical bur now big fans. We would watch as long as the writing and acting holds up. More promotion would probably bring in many more viewers/fans.
Why take a really great show like the tick away I want it back as well as many other people bring it back bring it back. There were so many tick related flops ,but as the biggest fan ever I thought this was really fantastic side of the whole series. Next to go will be the boys watch

I need more of this show ASAP!!! Loved the animated version as a kid and this live action revival is the perfect follow up! I pray someone picks it up and runs with the fun!

Choose Love, Amazon Prime. Change your minds. Or if not Amazon Prime, I hope some other enlightened platform picks it up. We need to find out what happens to Superion.
