The CW is starting over on Monday nights. They’ve cancelled both Star-Crossed and The Tomorrow People after one season apiece.
On The Tomorrow People, a teenager (Robbie Amell) discovers that he has paranormal abilities. He also learns that others like him have gone into hiding because they’re being hunted by a paramilitary group of scientists known as Ultra. The rest of the cast includes Luke Mitchell, Peyton List, Aaron Yoo, Mark Pellegrino, and Madeleine Mantock.
The drama debuted back in October and aired on Wednesday nights, paired with the network’s popular Arrow series. It performed well in the beginning but the ratings fell over the course of the season, dropping as low as a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.24 million viewers.
The series moved to Monday nights and lost even more viewers. In last April, The Tomorrow People hit a series low, drawing just 760,000 viewers.
The season (now series) finale, which aired this week, left plenty of story opportunities for a second season but it won’t be happening.

I just watched the whole season in like 2 days! It was so good I couldn’t stop!! I really wish they would bring it back,but I dont see this happening considering the main character, Stephen, now plays an important role on another show on the same network( Firestorm on The Flash). But who knows maybe there is still hope!

I’ve just spent the better part of two days binge watching “The Tomorrow People” on Netflix and I must say I was completely engrossed by the plot, the characters, and chemistry. There are some shows you watch and can not wait for it to end if you can make it to the end, this was not one of those shows. While its premise has been visited before with shows like “The 4400” and “Heroes” there was still originality, brilliant writing and casting. I think the tomorrow people show was super awesome. How lame to cancel it. You know why it drop audience, because you moved it from the original day. How lame, it makes you stop want to watch any other shows. Bring it back and with he same cast.
BRING BACK THE TOMORROW PEOPLE. I spent a whole night with out sleep just to watch all seasons left of it, i got hooked up!! it was a really great show!!
I think the fact that cw canceled the 1 show that really transcends ages and has the kind of writing that captivates the audience is idiotic. We never get a show or movie that goes into such detail about people with these types of powers(except jumper). The actors had flawless chemistry and the digital effects and imagery was top notch. Cw bosses needs to remove their heads from their sunless orifices and renew the one (mostly) original show out. For the record everything else on their channel has been done before. The fact that the tomorrow people was cancelled hurt me becoz its my fave show and we have to see what happens to steven and cara and the new recruits. We also have to see how jedekiah plans of recruiting paranormals will work. SO BRING BACKOURFAVESHOW
This show was interesting. We get left wondering what happened to The Founder, What happened to Stephens dad, and if Jedikia is maybe holding him again and whats going on with him, and what happened to John why does have no memory suddenly.
I think that “the tomorrow people” should be renewed because it is by far the best series I have seen thus far and definitely better than “arrow” arrow has mostly action whereas “the tomorrow people offers a mixture of everything…please very kindly could this series be renewed? Let me tell you a story, I am just 16yo, I am gay and I just heard about this guy, Luke Mitchell, when I saw him in Agents of SHIELD tv series. I find him attractive so I looked him up in the internet, that’s when I saw this tv series he was in, which is The Tomorrow People. Now, thanks to my exploration, I encountered Star-Crossed, and I’m gonna watch it next. When I won’t get disappointed, I’ll tell you already that there should havea second season. 😉
Please bring the tomorrow people back. It was such an intense show. I just watched season 1 & got hooked.
I’ve watched over 3 shows in the past year or two and each time I get hooked to a good show,they cancel it. I don’t even want to get hooked to any new shows because I am afraid they may cancel it. Bring back The Tomorrow People!!!!!!
Hey! I loved that show:( They need to take off dumb shows like Jane the virgin and put the tomorrow people back on!!! Jane the virgin is SO incredibly ridiculous that it makes my brain hurt from the stupidity.
