What’s This TV Show About?
An NBC drama, The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.

Will NBC cancel or renew The Village for season two? I think it could go either way. Right out of the gate, the ratings weren’t very good, especially for a series that followed NBC’s This Is Us drama. However, the ratings remained pretty consistent and saw some improvement when it was moved to an earlier timeslot. I’ll update this page with breaking developments. Please renew The Village. The characters are so multi dimensional and interesting. I especially love and enjoy the PTSD storyline from 9- 11 and the military. The teenage pregnancy storyline is being handled so realistically. I love this show!!

This is a great show! Moving it to another day and time was good as it was on the same time as another show I watch. So I would skip back and forth and I was SO glad when it went to Tuesday. Give the show a chance on it new day and just as someone said the ratings have gone up since it moved to a different day! This is a show about the everyday life of the folks who live there. Hoping like the dickens that the show is renewed!!!! This is us is over.
I love The Village and would hate for it to be cancelled. There are so many directions the story lines could go. Please give it a chance. The marketing has to let people know it’s out there. I was a big This is Us fan, I’ve lost interest, so if This is Us is renewed, The Village needs a chance to succeed.
The Village is the BEST show on tv! It should be renewed without a doubt. The characters and story lines are relatable, real and so much better than the reality/talent shows that are renewed. It is a shame that quality shows like The Village are not given the support they need to remain on NBC. Cancelling The Village will be a major mistake made by NBC!

The Village is superb – the writing and characters are amazing and I can’t believe there is even a question about a season 2 and beyond – I would be heartbroken to lose these characters and their stories
