What’s This TV Show About?
An NBC action adventure drama, Timeless stars Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, Malcolm Barrett, Goran Višnjić, Paterson Joseph, Sakina Jaffrey, and Claudia Doumit. Season two picks up right after the events of last season and follows Rufus (Barrett), Wyatt (Lanter), and Lucy (Spencer) on their quest to prevent the destruction of our world as we know it. This season they’ll find an unlikely ally in their mission to destroy Rittenhouse, a deadly organization Lucy’s family has been a part of, for centuries. As they try not to change the past, they will visit 1692, 1917, 1941, 1981 and more, and encounter Marie Curie, Hedy Lamarr, William Randolph Hearst, and other influential historical figures.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of Timeless averaged a 0.61 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.64 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 45% and 43%, respectively. Find out how Timeless stacks up against other NBC TV shows.
Timeless has been cancelled. There will be no season three, but NBC has ordered a two-part Timeless finale movie which will air December 20, 2018. Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
Will NBC cancel or renew Timeless for season three? It’s in a tougher timeslot and the ratings have really suffered. I suspect that Timeless will be cancelled and won’t return for a third season unless there’s some reason that makes this show very cheap to produce. Season two benefited from tax incentives but I don’t think season three would have the same break. For now, I’ll update this page with breaking developments. It never fails I just find a good show they cancel it. sometimes I can’t watch all the shows I like on at the same time. But with having TVs with on demand or Netflix or Hulu we can watch some of the shows at a later time so I don’t think they should cancel shows just because the ratings we’re down it doesn’t mean that it wasn’t a good show. I also get tired of them being moved to different time slots or put on hold because Monday Night Football or Thursday Night Football has to have their time… Read more »
So very sorry this wonderful show has been cancelled!! Loved the snippets of history we would see each week…. It was so well done. Any chance it will be picked up by another network????
A two hour movie is not a solution, it is the complete opposite. NBC should not cancel the show, not again. What was very unfair was that NBC waited a whole month to reveal the fait about the show and now will not fight for it. There is so much history in this show, history that I learned that was not in history books or movies. This show is very extraordinary and very fun to watch. Please don’t cancel Timeless. Each week I look forward to learning a bit more about history that I didn’t know before. Such a great show with fantastic actors.
DON’T CANCEL TIMELESS!!! I WILL BOYCOTT NBC!! I love this show! Why are all the stupid shows renewed and the brilliantly written ones cancelled. Not all viewers are 20 somethings & they are NOT the people usually footing the bill.
Because people want lots of sex and violence! Clean shows don’t last. 🙁

My wife, 17 year old daughter, and I have really enjoyed the show! I love the historical references, and the bonds between the main characters. It is so cool to have them travel back to the various time periods, and see the clothing, cars, etc. of the different times. Please do not cancel this show!!!

Timeless is a great show but on too late.It should come on at eight or nine so kids can watch.I’ve looked up the historical characters on the show online and the stories are accurate.Who knew the background of The Lone Ranger and Hedy Lamar for instance.Please don’t cancel such a clean,informative,well acted and enjoyable show!
