The team might get another trip in the Lifeboat. After NBC cancelled their Timeless TV show, yesterday, creators Eric Kripke and Shawn Ryan indicated that Sony will like shop season two of the time travel drama around.
Kripke and Ryan weren’t the only Timeless vets responding to the cancellation on social media. Stars Matt Lanter, Abigail Spencer, and Malcolm Barrett also shared their thoughts about Timeless being cancelled after one season on NBC. The series also stars Goran Visnjic, Paterson Joseph, Sakina Jaffrey, and Claudia Doumit.

1. Learned a lot about TV biz in last few days. A lot of things to argue for a #Timeless renewal but $$$ flows in mysterious ways in tv now.

While it sounds like there is a chance at renewal, they don’t sound overly optimistic. Meanwhile, Lantner and Spencer tried to keep positive in their responses to the cancellation.

The first season of Timeless averaged a 1.10 rating in the 18-49 demographic and drew an average total audience of 4.62 million viewers. Those numbers could still be appealing to a smaller network or streaming service.

I hope that it gets picked up by some new channel… this was my favorite show. Tuesday nights will never be the same if they don’t find a new home for Timeless. Any other channel will benefit from picking up Timeless.
I hope that they offer it to it’s natural home, SciFi Channel. This is a better show then half the stuff they just showed the public during their recent up fronts for their new show.
What a fantastic, exotic, heart-clenching show! Great for the mind, too!
Sci-fi is not my usual genre but this show is so good! Not just for the great history lessons but for the characters, their chemistry, the amazing talent on screen and off to pull me in each week. I’m a busy mom of two who doesn’t make time for much tv but I still find time to watch #timeless and tell my friends to watch. What do we have to do to get it back?
Thanks NBC for ******** us again… I mean who would want to be entertained & learn about history! But please, put another reality show or another CHICAGO drama show in it’s place. Better yet, do like you did with “THE EVENT”, put a bunch of no talent girls in bikinis and have them do a show about The Playboy club! That was awesome… So long NBC, the only thing I’ll ever watch on your network now is Al Michaels on SNF!!!

If ever there were a show that deserved a reprieve from cancellation, this is it. It was so entertaining, while simultaneously being educational. It’s been one of very few shows my family and I can all sit down and enjoy together. It just needs an earlier time slot and a second season to prove what a success it could be in the seasons to follow. Another NBC screw up. They always cancel the good shows and renew the really stupid one.
I hope so, it’s a fantastic show, Netflix/Hulu, you need to get this, it’s worth every penny. There are many fans of this show, it just needs to spread it’s wings, so pick this show up please.

I liked Timeless. Would like to see another season.
My wife and I really love Timeless. It is the one show we sat down and watched together each week. It was a special night each week for us that will be lost if no one will pick it up. Our best wishes to the cast and crew and hope you get another chance not only for us, but you all to. Thank you for our special nights.
The odds of a pick up elsewhere is minimal at best – why lead the fans on? Netflix ,Amazon, and Hulu got out of the picking up failed shows business awhile ago.
God I hope sony or someone takes up Timeless, as it quickly became one of my favourite shows! I particularly loved watching all the historical references it had in it, and actually learned a lot about certain characters and chapters from history.
I love this show, a little different from the usual cop and medical dramas. I really hope it finds a new home!
