Cancellation cancelled! Earlier this week, NBC cancelled Eric Kripke and Shawn Ryan’s Timeless TV show, but now the Peacock Network has reversed its decision and renewed Timeless for a second season of 10 episodes.
A time travel drama, Timeless stars Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, Malcolm Barrett, and Goran Visnjic. The NBC cast also includes Paterson Joseph, Sakina Jaffrey and Claudia Doumit. It looks like the Lifeboat will be around for season two.

THR reports that although at one point, Kripke said Timeless, season two, would air in the summer of 2018, it is possible the 10-episode installment could return in spring, instead.

I NEVER watch live TV. So glad we who choose to watch at our own time preference make a difference. I watch online, so I’m still stuck with the damn commercials. Why doesn’t my voice count? Glad those who record the show get their voices heard too.
Getting frustrated watching a enjoyable new show for a season and then they want to pull the show… and then there are shows that you can’t understand why they are on after a pilot.

It’s nice to know that the powers at NBC took a second look at this show and actually decided that “yes” this show is good and it deserves a second season.
Somebody did their job right.
I’m looking forward to some new adventures in time travel with the excellent cast of Timeless.
Why do they do that? Tell fans they are killing their shows than say it is being renewed? They need to give the new shows a chance and let it run a few seasons to build the momentum. Stupid how they just kill them off right off the bat.
Absolutely agree with that. The networks always seem to be in a rush to pull new shows without giving them time to build up their fan base!!
Of all the “time travel” themed shows, this was, no doubt, the best inasmuch as it was the most historically accurate and wasn’t afraid to “change history for the better”, much to the chagrin of Abigale Spencer’s character. But what really made it the best was a solid, intriguing, imaginative story line with a great villain organization and superior and diverse characters. I am delighted that NBC found their grounding on this one! Great news!

Very happy Timeless will be renewed but wish we didn’t have to wait a year to see it. The is one of the best new shows this season. A real tv show with real actors (very good ones at that) – not reality tv which should have burned out long ago. Hurry please with the new shows. Maybe by some magic the team could bring someone who passed away long ago back with them into this century to see how their decisions still affect us today.
However, with it being a summer series, it has a better chance-ratings wise. Look at Night Shift. They tried it during regular season, after having it during the summer. It didn’t work. So they moved it back to summer. NBC needs summer series, so fingers crossed.

Hopefully everyone who said they’d watch, will indeed watch. I sure hope it gets a decent time slot, too.
We will definitely be watching this in the U.K. Loved the first series, don’t care when it airs or what time we’ll be there.
