Today brought good news for Switched at Birth fans as the series was renewed for a fourth season. Unfortunately, the news wasn’t good for fans of the Twisted TV show. It’s been cancelled and won’t be back for a second season.
A mystery/thriller series, Twisted revolves around 17 year old Danny Desai (Avan Jogia). Six years ago, he was charged with killing his aunt and he ended up spending five years in juvenile detention. Now, he’s been released and has returned to his small hometown in New York. As he tries to resume his life, a classmate is killed and Danny becomes a key suspect. The cast also includes Madelaine Hasson, Kylie Bunbury, Ashton Moio, Kimberly Quinn, Denise Richards, and Sam Robards.
The pilot episode of Twisted aired as a special preview in March 2013 and drew 1.19 million viewers. It wasn’t a great start but the ratings picked up when the regular season started in June. They quickly started falling again.
The cable channel split the season into two parts and, starting in February of this year, gave it the advantage of airing after Pretty Little Liars, their most popular show. Unfortunately, that didn’t seem to help and the ratings got worse and worse. The final two episodes of the season drew just 726,000 and 773,000 viewers.
TVLine now reports that ABC Family has pulled the plug on the Twisted series, leaving viewers with a lot of unanswered questions.

Cancelling Twisted was a HUGE mistake!!!!! Twisted was an amazing show and cancelling it will just make people in a huge rage and you won’t hear the end of it.

You guys made a big mistake cancelling twisted – so many other shows of yours would have been better to cancel then twisted. Ratings dropped probly because you dont count the ones who DVR the show – way more people than your 700,000 watched it – BIG MISTAKE!!!!

noo twisted was a great show it should have been signed again. every episode made you wonder more and more, it was def a cliff hanger show. abc family did a huge mistake on cancelling the show.
Really, I would have rather other shows been canceled except Twisted! It was a great show that we couldn’t wait to watch..Do us a favor and bring it back!!!

I can’t believe they cancelled this show. It was so good and my daughter and I looked toward to it every week. The sad thing is so many people love the dumb reality shows which personally I can’t stand. These phony people are making so much money for doing nothing but getting into fights with either their family or their so called friends. So typical of the networks getting it wrong!!!
I am so upset that “Twisted” has been cancelled. I was really looking forward to seeing the outcome if the finale. It was such a good show. What is going in ABC Family. You get us to watch something and then just dropout without warning not giving us any kind if resolution. It was the same with The Lying Game and Ravenswood.

I have only just been able to start watching this show on Netflix, and I am already HOOKED!! It’s a great show!! You need to bring it back, ABC Family!!
Why would they cancel this great show, they seriously need to bring it back everything about it was so good. They should’ve cancelled the others shows which have no interesting things about them please bring twisted back I’m dying to know what will happened! Or at least netflix should continue it!

Omg! Y r u canceling Twisted?! It’s the best show EVER!!! When I found out that Twisted was canceled I was so freakin mad. I mean who cares about Switch at birth. We all get it now, Daphne and Bey got switched when they were babies. They found there real mom now and Bey found her real dad. The End! So get off the tv.
