Today brought good news for Switched at Birth fans as the series was renewed for a fourth season. Unfortunately, the news wasn’t good for fans of the Twisted TV show. It’s been cancelled and won’t be back for a second season.
A mystery/thriller series, Twisted revolves around 17 year old Danny Desai (Avan Jogia). Six years ago, he was charged with killing his aunt and he ended up spending five years in juvenile detention. Now, he’s been released and has returned to his small hometown in New York. As he tries to resume his life, a classmate is killed and Danny becomes a key suspect. The cast also includes Madelaine Hasson, Kylie Bunbury, Ashton Moio, Kimberly Quinn, Denise Richards, and Sam Robards.
The pilot episode of Twisted aired as a special preview in March 2013 and drew 1.19 million viewers. It wasn’t a great start but the ratings picked up when the regular season started in June. They quickly started falling again.
The cable channel split the season into two parts and, starting in February of this year, gave it the advantage of airing after Pretty Little Liars, their most popular show. Unfortunately, that didn’t seem to help and the ratings got worse and worse. The final two episodes of the season drew just 726,000 and 773,000 viewers.
TVLine now reports that ABC Family has pulled the plug on the Twisted series, leaving viewers with a lot of unanswered questions.

Abc family just canceled twisted because their was only small audience watching abc family only care about televsion they don’t care about dvr or netflix they only care about a tv show and people watching it on live and when they heard their was less people watching it they just cancled it
If your are determined to cancel at least do a special finale! You owe it!

That is just ridiculously wrong. The viewers of the show loved it and would really want a season 2. U let season 1 come out and let us watch it, than leave us with our minds blown away by the drama. For the love of us viewers. Please allow the show “twisted” to have a season 2 .
You guys aren’t thinking. Bad move. Bring back twisted for a second season. Just isn’t fair to the viewers to cancel a series with such a major story unfolding. What is ABC Family thinking!!!!!!!
This is rediculess I just saw the last one and it is so intense how can charlie be his brother an you hear a shot at the end an no second season plezzz bring it back that show keeps me sane
Why leave us hanging we want to know what is happening next? I kept looking and listening for when it was coming back. Danny is just getting ready to tell all the truth, his dad came back everything everyone was waiting for and you stop it there. Why be get us to the point we wanted and stop? Thats not right other shows you at least gave a final episode not to leave everyone hanging. Come on do the right thing and bring back Twisted.

Me and my little sister watched this show every week it is ove of the best shows you have going just like every show give it time. Seriously u leave it at such a cliff hanger.
Twisted was a GREAT show! I saddened that it’s cancelled. I thoroughly enjoyed it! Please ABC FAMILY! Bring it back!

I am disappointed that Twisted was canceled also. They should at least, give us a 2 hour show, to tie up all loose ends for the fans to see how it all ends up. Poor Danny, accused of so many things, when he really a good guy!!!

WTF?!?!? Why would you cancel a show that is just starting to get good? I was looking forward to the second season….. What a disappointment! Why not cancel PLL? That show has had the exact same episode plot every episode! At least this show had some twists you never saw coming. I realize it was a little slow to start and somewhat predictable for the first few episodes, but I love all the “twists” we were thrown nearing the end. Again….. Why cancel it just when it was getting good???………. : /
