LOS ANGELES, September 7, 2016 – FX announced today that Tyrant’s season 3 finale airing tonight will mark the conclusion of the series. For three thrilling seasons,Tyrant followed the intrigue and exploits of an American family drawn into the inner workings of a turbulent Middle East nation.
“It’s very difficult to find common ground with other people whose stories we do not know or understand,” said John Landgraf, CEO of FX Networks and FX Productions. “The creators of Tyrant have done their utmost over three seasons to tell American audiences a tiny fraction of the many gripping, human stories coursing through the Middle East today. We want to thank Howard Gordon, Chris Keyser and their talented team of collaborators, including all the writers, directors, cast and crew, as well as our studio partners at Fox 21 Television Studios, for taking on Tyrant’s tremendously ambitious story with such profound dedication and respect.”
“Tyrant is a beloved show to all of us at Fox 21 Television Studios, and we are indebted to Howard and Chris for their incredible work, and to John Landgraf and everyone at FX who have been fantastic partners,” said Fox 21 Television Studios President Bert Salke. “We feel the show is a gem and we’d love to find a way to keep it in production. That said, we want to be realistic about its prospects. So for its loyal audience, tonight’s episode will be a satisfying end should the series not find another home, but also provides interesting possibilities should we be able to continue on some other platform.”

What do you think? Were you a fan of the Tyrant TV series? Do you plan to catch the finale tonight on FX? Do you think Tyrant should have been cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?
Just saw Jennifer Finnagin on a new show on CBS so obviously FX could care less about bringing back Tyrant. Too bad, it was a really good show and I never missed an episode.
I really liked the show as did my friends; was sorry to see it end so soon.
I just realized our favorite show on television has been cancelled—for shame! We love Turn also and know that it is ending a natural death soon, but why tyrant!
Fox is dumb as usual. With all the dumb kiddy shows it puts on they are a disgrace. This is an excellent show of what is going on today
An absolute fan of Tyrant! So many Fox shows are being cancelled, I will not have any shows to watch! I guess I will be reading more! Bring back Tyrant!!?
Bring Tyrant back!!! Fox has so many other garbage shows that are not nearly as well made or thought provoking. What are these execs thinking. BRING TYRANT BACK!!!
It was an intriguing show that was quite entertaining. Another show I love was on at the same time so I always used the DVR on this one. Can the ratings people see if a show is recorded on Xfinety DVR’s?
Please please renew love this show! I look forward to when this show comes on!
Renew, please. This is a program that shares short stories about life in the middle east. love it Please bring it back and at an earlier time.
A great series, well written, acted very well, that bit the dust because of stupidity in scheduling. 9 pm cst is where you send shows to die! The only region where this series was watched regularly was the west coast. Everybody else was asleep before it came on. Good Job FX.
renew tyrant for season four please… it’s a good show and I am a big fan
I just learned Tryant is cancelled. I had so looked forward to each and every episode. If there is any way to continue it I will be on board
I also was had from the first episode. I know there had to be some controversy over the series but I still enjoyed it. Unfortunately I missed the very LAST EPISODE because we were with out power. OMG! If it is picked up by another pay for channel I won’t be able to watch. My stomach is sick about that. Bring it back, were not done.
So disappointed loved this show from the very first episode it had me !!
Please try your best to bring it back ……
I loved Tyrant ! I kept looking for another episode. It didn’t say
