After being cancelled (twice!) by CBS, A&E picked up Unforgettable for a fourth season. How will the TV series perform on cable? Will it be cancelled again or will it be renewed for a fifth season? Stay tuned.
Unforgettable follows Carrie Wells (Poppy Montgomery), a police detective who has hyperthymesia — a rare medical condition that gives her the ability to visually remember everything. She works with Al Burns (Dylan Walsh) and other members of the Major Crimes team of the NYPD to track down the city’s most nefarious criminals. The rest of this season’s cast includes Alani Anthony, Kathy Najimy, and E.J. Bonilla.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
2/16 update: A&E has decided to cancel this series. No season five. Details here.
Final season averages: 0.12 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 740,000 total viewers.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The third season of Unforgettable on CBS averaged a 0.91 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.09 million total viewers.
Note: These are the final national numbers and are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Unforgettable TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or be renewed for a fifth season?
I love this show. Agree didn’t know it was back on. Do the ratings take into consideration the people like me that record to watch later. Give it a chance to reconnect with its audience6.
Please renew it! You can’t leave us hanging like that. It’s a great show!
Love Unforgettable, it deserved a second chance
I agree with Barbara. We have more money to spend now in our 60s than we did in the 18-49 demographic. (loans and home are paid off). Also second Kate, if Al survives continue, if not forget it. Watching Carrie grieve will not be entertaining. We didn’t even find season 4 until well into the season as there was not much advertising as to where it was.
Keep it for a fifth season. The air times were never consistent with TV Guide and the actual A&E programming for the 4th season. Multiple new episodes that ran back to back (the last 4) were aired in one night and most likely some of these episodes were not seen by the people who watch the show. The show needs to have a fare shake on a consistent airing time and correct listing of new episodes so people don’t miss seeing it.
Please renew the show i love it please!
Keep It! We need more shows that make you think. I watch when airs or tape and watch as soon as I can. A big fan. It’s not right cliff hang if you don’t intend to renew. Please renew for season 5
Please renew. The rating are low there was no promotional work done by the network . If you want people to watch a show they have to know its on. Also the poor time slot did not help. Its wrong to have a cliff hanger if the renewal of the show is in jeopardy. Another thing I just watch episode 13 on the A@E website because my tv guide showed only three episodes so that might explain your low rating for the season finale .
Please, please keep this series going, I love it and I need to know what happens to A
Please, please keep his series going. Its a great series and I have to find out what happens to Al
I too have watched this show since it first aired on CBS and love it. I had to keep searching the web also to find start date and then that changed when I was all set to watch it! No wonder some shows never really get a chance. And what’s up with changing the time slot and then showing so many episodes back to back? Please renew for season 5!!
Please renew it for season 5!!!!!!
Unforgettable is a great show! I love it, please bring it back and let AL survive the shooting !
I have always liked this show. …and would like it to be renewed. Being in my 70’s, I am finding fewer shows to watch. Not sure why ages up to 49 are the sweet spot. The older demographic still has money to spend!
This has been my favorite show off all time!! Don’t cancel it!
