What will happen with When Calls the Heart without Lori Loughlin? Hallmark just addressed their decision to cut ties with the star following her arrest earlier this week.
Loughlin has played Abigail Stanton on the period drama since it debuted in 2014. Additionally, Loughlin stars in Hallmark’s film series Garage Sale Mystery.
On social media, Hallmark Channel announced they are pulling the March 17th episode of When Calls the Heart so they can evaluate the future of the TV show. The network did clarify that they have no plans to cancel the series.
Also on social media the cast of Garage Sale Mystery confirmed the film series has been cancelled as a result of the Loughlin scandal. See co-star Sarah Strange’s post below:

What do you think? Are you a fan of When Calls the Heart? Will you watch without Loughlin?
Please bring back Garage Sale Mysteries and Gourmet Detective. They are both different and the stars are great. Garage sales mysteries will be fine wiithout Lori Loughlin. They are two great shows and the supporting cast on both shows are great. Pls. make sure crossword puzzle mysteries is also on.
I will happily watch either of these shows without Lori Loughlin because I love the shows and THE CHARACTERS as well as the actors portraying them. Please don’t cancel! – in fact, bring back Murder, She Baked and Flower Pot Mysteries (especially . if you can recast the wonderful-but-not-a-perfect-fit-with-Brooke-Shields Brennan Elliott – who is perfect with a Lacey Chabert- with Victor Webster ✨) …and don’t you Dare cancel Gourmet Detective! Please.
I love both of the shows Garage Sale Mysteries and When Calls The Heart and I hope that you don’t cancel because of one person . I grew up watching Lori Loughlin on Full House and she will always be one of my favorite actress no matter what happened . Please don’t cancel these most popular show because of what happened even if you have to replace her I will still watch it might not be the same without her . one of the other shows I wish they did not cancel was Cedar Cove with Andie MacDowell as the… Read more »
Cut the DRAMA people. Lori Loughlin is an actress. Replace her with a different actress and let fans of the show keep enjoying the stories. I have been a fan of GSM since the very first show. As far as I am concerned, you can replace every actor except Sarah Strange. Her quirky actions and comments endear her to my heart.
Why not let Sarah Strange lead the show? I’m sure she was the favorite of a lot of people anyway.
I think replacing Lori in garage sale mysteries would work fine. People who love the show will get used to it if the right girl is cast. How about Jennifer love Hewitt, Lisa whelchel, Candice Cameron burred, all good actresses with that nice person persona. Not fair that the cast and crew should lose a great job on a good show for lori’s stupidity. I liked her too but she screwed up. I’d be happy to have a replacement in both garage sale and when calls the heart.
I think Maureen McCormick or Eve Plumb would do a great job in the role as well.
I loved watching When calls the heart and especially the actors on Garage Sale mysteries. If you recast, it won’t be he same and I may not watch anymore.
Regarding Garage Sale Myteries, shows in the past have re-casted roles. Example: Aunt Viv on Fresh Prince to name one. It happens. There’s no reason why Jennifer’s character can’t be re-casted. Think of the rest of the cast members. Why should they lose their jobs. And what about the fans. My 2 daughters and I watch the show on a regular basis. Will miss it.
I have loved When Calls the Heart always and look forward to its return and appreciate your stand.
Garage sales mysteries should be recast not canceled
I watch Garage Sales Mystery
I watch Hallmark Channels for holiday shows and mystery shows like Murder She Wrote, Murder She Baked and Gourmet Detective.
I will still watch the hallmark shows I am sad to see her go and also believe they over reacted
for I believe people have been doing what they got caught doing for far more years than we could possible know and also why does the schools not get in trouble for it also some how they took the money so are they not also in the wrong
Hear……hear. I totally agree with everything you have said especially about the schools. Why are they not being held responsible for taking the money. I will miss Lori on WCTH. She is a big part of the show but she is not the only part. It is an ensemble cast, and they all play a part in making the show a sucess. We didn’t think the show would survive the death of Jack, but it did. It will survive the loss of Abigail. Maybe she should be replaced and keep her character alive. Guess we will just have to stay… Read more »
It really is too early to know how well the show is surviving after Jack’s death. They had already planned this season. If I read it correctly the ratings were way down on this season’s premier. I and a lot of other people thought Jack should be recast to keep the J&E story alive. The show died for me when Jack died so haven’t watched since. I do think it’s wrong for viewers to stop watching because of Hallmark letting LL go if viewers like the shows/movies they should keep watching. It’s not Hallmark’s fault what LL did but sure… Read more »
I would continue to watch Garage Sale Mystery
Me, too, but I think they should recast her role. Frankly, I watched largely because the supporting cast was so terrific and I enjoyed the storylines. A new Jennifer would be just fine with me. I’m angry thinking of how much Lori’s actions have cost her costars on Garage Sale Mysteries. That series could have gone on a long time to come.
We just discovered the Garage Sale series – and though I really liked Lori as Jennifer, so far there has been two husbands and two sons as replacement actors (and their storefront changed) … so why not the leading lady as well?! After an episode or two we will go with it and love it… watching and buying the dvds. We are not typically Hallmark movie fans… ( a few are good) but Garage Sale had us hooked from the first WELL WRITTEN- interesting- without any offensive language- agendas- or sensuality- or too much death detail episode. Golly it is… Read more »
Hallmark shows are good, clean Family Entertainment. Having the face of one of their actresses smeared all over the news is not good publicity. They are totally right to cut Lori Loughlin from their lineup of actors. She cheated big time and lied. Heads up to all the actors at Hallmark to keep their noses clean if they want the privilege of working in movies that can be enjoyed by any age. KUDOS TO HALMARK for doing the right thing.
Yes I will definitely watch as will my husband. We do feel that Hallmark channel has over reacted but will always watch Hallmark.
