A spy drama with a screwball comedy bent, Whiskey Cavalier stars Scott Foley, Lauren Cohan, Ana Ortiz, Tyler James Williams, Vir Das, and Josh Hopkins. The series centers on FBI Agent Will Chase (Foley), codename: “Whiskey Cavalier” and CIA operative Frankie Trowbridge (Cohan), codename: “Fiery Tribune.” Although they start off as rivals, they’re soon assigned to a joint-agency task force to root out corruption and crime and save the world.
Airing on Wednesday nights, the first season of Whiskey Cavalier is averaging a 0.59 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.47 million viewers.
Out of the 21 scripted ABC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, Whiskey Cavalier is in 18th place in the demo and 13th place in total viewership.
The decision to renew or cancel Whiskey Cavalier reportedly came down to the wire. Word is that Warner Bros TV will be shopping season two to other outlets so there is some small hope that the series will survive.

Im so disappointed this is a good show, maybe putting it on a different night it will make a difference. But canceling the show without giving it time is a bad decision. Theres other shows you can get rid of but this isnt one of them.

I enjoyed the show. Light, good looking people in pretty places. Sometimes you need some brain candy, and I feel like the characters were starting to find their footing. Hope it comes back.
I have been an avid ABC network-watcher for many, many years, but after they canceled “Take Two”, their awesome new summer series, and now “Whiskey Cavalier”, I am done with ABC… I will be finding a new outlet for my drama series!! What they need to realize is that they are losing viewership all around because people are TIRED of investing in a show, only to get attached and have it quickly canceled. Both my husband and I agree with you we loved take two also and were very disappointed when it was cancelled also. The same thing happened with Last Man Standing for a year and then so many people complained that it was picked up by another station. Hopefully another network will do that. We do not have netflix instead we have Prime but I would totally go to Netflix or any other programmer if they got smart and started picking up the popular shows that other stations cancelled.
