It’s official. Deadline reports the ABC TV show Whiskey Cavalier will not be returning for a second season after all.
The drama series centers on FBI Agent Will Chase (Scott Foley), codename: “Whiskey Cavalier” and CIA operative Frankie Trowbridge (Lauren Cohan), codename: “Fiery Tribune.” Although they start off as rivals, they’re soon assigned to a joint-agency task force to root out corruption and crime and save the world. The cast also includes Ana Ortiz, Tyler James Williams, Vir Das, and Josh Hopkins.
Last week, we reported that ABC was considering bringing Whiskey Cavalier back for a second season after cancelling it earlier this month. Now, it series creator David Hemingson has confirmed this will not be the case. Whiskey Cavalier will remain cancelled:

I liked watching Whiskey Cavalier. It had action, had romance, had suspense and it was funny. To me, it showed, unity. They didn’t get along at first but became a family at the end, we need more shows like that. I will miss the show, shouldn’t have left it with a cliffhanger. Bring it back to at least end their story lines happy.

No!! What are they thinking? This show is slick intelligent and funny! What is in the water at ABC? This series deserves a 2nd season and so do its fans! There is an audience out here awaiting more! Please consider those of us who want lighter entertaining viewing!
Bring Back Whiskey Cavalier…at the very least a wrap up episode as was done with Timeless.
Very surprised Whiskey Cavalier was cancelled. It was a very show with some action, a great cast with humor and worked well. I think they are quick to cancel good shows instead of waiting a few seasons to gain viewers. Not everyone wants to see aliens and sex

My husband and I love Whiskey Cavalier. We did not miss a single episode. I think it must have been the best show no one was watching. ABC should give it another chance so people can find the show.
I’m really hoping another network will pick this show up. It is a great show that I could actually watch with my teens, without them or I being embarrassed. Very rare on network television these days.
