It looks like the reign is over for The White Princess. Recently, star Jodie Comer revealed there will be no season two for the Starz TV show.
A sequel to The White Queen, the historical drama follows the stormy marriage of Elizabeth of York (Comer) to Henry Tudor (Jacob Collins-Levy) during the end of England’s War of the Roses. The cast also includes Essie Davis, Joanne Whalley, Michelle Fairley, Suki Waterhouse, Rebecca Benson, Rhys Connah, Caroline Goodall, Kenneth Cranham, and Vincent Regan.
It’s not a huge surprise that The White Princess is ending with only one season. Its predecessor, The White Queen, was limited to one season as well. However, it remains unclear if there will be a third installment in the Starz historical saga. The series are based on the historical novels of Philippa Gregory and there are several more that detail what happens after the events of The White Princess.

Please please continue the white princess story with upcoming series the Spanish princess just as the white queen series was continued with the white princess!! I don’t care if the focus transitions naturally to the next queen but loved the way white queen to princess carried over and should be the same for white princess to Spanish queen!! Just like the books do!

I have watched The White Queen and White Princess and enjoyed them both. I would enjoy the series to continue. There is so much trash now. Zombies and killer Dead people Kids fighting to the death for food, is the reason our young people have no respect or except no responsibility for their actions.

I’m sorry there won’t be a Season 2 only because I’d like to see more of Rebecca Benson, who plays Maggie Pole. She really gave a riveting performance. Her transformation from girl to woman comes across as more believable that Lizzie’s. Lizzie’s switch from a basically good-hearted girl to an ice queen was a little too abrupt. I don’t blame the actress; it was the writing. Still, I feel that Benson, more than anyone else in the cast, transcended the sometimes trite material and breathed life into Maggie.
