One more show won’t make it to see the new year. David Michael Latt, a producer on the Z Nation TV show, has revealed that the zombie drama series has been cancelled. The final episode will air Friday, December 28th.
A Syfy zombie apocalypse horror comedy-drama, Z Nation stars Kellita Smith, DJ Qualls, Keith Allan, Anastasia Baranova, Russell Hodgkinson, Nat Zang, Sydney Viengluang, Ramona Young, Natalie Jongjaroenlarp, and Grace Phipps. After a zombie virus infects the United States, a ragtag gang of everyday people bands together to end it.
In a video posted last night, Latt broke the news of the cancellation to his followers. “This is not the end of anything,” he said. “This is just the beginning of a lot of things.”

While Z Nation is coming to a close, Netflix has already ordered a prequel series. Black Summer is described this way: “A mother, torn from her daughter embarks upon a harrowing journey, stopping at nothing to find her. Thrust alongside a small group of American refugees, she must brave a hostile new world and make brutal decisions during the most deadly summer of a zombie apocalypse.” Netflix has ordered eight episodes.

What’s wrong with you SYFY cancelling another great show. The Americans she joins up with better be our favorite team from Z Nation!! I would prefer more seasons of Z Nation than a prequel. Instead of a prequel pick up Timeless or Midnight Texas from NBC. You don’t even give a series an ending. Networks wonder why they lose viewers. This is why because you have no respect for fans!!
Yes I would have definitely watched a season 6!! This is a favorite show in my household, everyone watches and loves it from my 6 yr old and up. Really wish they wouldn’t drop the show, very disappointed!

Don’t cancel Z. Nation it’s a great zombie series I watch it after the walking dead so I can see what each shows are doing with the episodes who knows maybe the Z nation might come together with the walking dead.
Good show for 4 seasons. Kinda run itself off the rails this year. Got too campy for its own good. Biscuits? Great run though. Thanks!
