Could fans of HBO’s Western drama, Deadwood, finally get some closure?
Garret Dillahunt — the actor who played Jack McCall on the gritty series — , recently tweeted “So uh….I’m hearing credible rumors about a #Deadwood movie. #Everybodypray.” He followed that up with, “Come on @HBO…you made @entouragemovie. Give the #Deadwood fans some closure. #Youcandoit.”
In a statement released to THR, HBO weighed in on the actor’s post. “In reference to Garret Dillahunt’s tweet regarding the rumored Deadwood movie, there have only been very preliminary conversations.”
When Deadwood was cancelled, back in 2006, there were talks of a shortened season or a movie to wrap up storylines but those plans ultimately fell apart.

To finally hear this gives me hope. Please HBO get it done! “Deadwood” was the best show as it was always intriguing & had the best cast around. My husband & I were glued to the the TV & never missed an episode. As a faithful “Deadwood” fan, my husband even bought me the book which I read from cover to cover. Please please please HBO don’t let us down!!!
Now that Justified has ended Tim would be available to do the movie. This would be great HBO. PLZ make It happen!
Something to keep in mind though. He’s going to cost a lot more by now too. I’d like to see more than just a single show, but maybe a 4 part mini series for a proper send off. Whatever they do you just know fans will still want more.

ABSOLUTELY, A MOVIE! How many times can a girl watch all 3 seasons AGAIN just to see these awesome characters! At least I could OWN the movie and watch as often as I want to. PLEASE DO A “DEADWOOD” MOVIE!
