I agree with some poster who have stated,”Creating something from new”

However they are not creating something new, Science fiction is not new, special effects are not new, Alien make up is not new. and story writing also is not new.

I watched episodes 1-2 and thought wow this is utter garbage and decided to give it to episode 4 which I did turning episode 4 off twenty minutes into the episode as I could stand no more of the stolen charactures the below amature make up on the aliens, I mean come on it looks like he wrapped people in gauze and said poof your a new race.

the story is cheesy and crap the interactions leave a lot to be desired and the special effects suck. the game as predicted had to go free to play to draw any users at all. the entire show should have been one season and gone!

Amen brother! I’d say this show was a disappointing piece of garbage, but I wouldn’t want to insult garbage by making such a comparison. If they had spent half as much time on the scripts as they did on all the hype leading up to the show they may have had something here. But that’s just it, they didn’t. I can’t decide which is worse, the story or the acting. And I don’t blame the actors since you have some pretty good ones, but good actors with a crap script = CRAP. I wanted to like this show, but there is nothing to like.

This show has got to be given at least one more season. Like Alex here says above, creating something from scratch is challenging. Good actors, mostly, fresh new alien species and interesting mythology is being created here!!!!! Don’t be chickens, take a chance and let the writers, actors and the staff have one more season.

One of the most intense and entertaining series I’ve witnessed in a long time. And of course I believe it should be allowed to get a foot hold with at least 2 seasons before Syfy makes any snap judgements about keeping or dumping it. It sucks that most TV Networks now will cancel a series before it even has a chance to draw in fans if the initial ratings aren’t so great. Shows like Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel started slow but as they gained traction they drew in more fans. Bottom line is…. YOU GOTTA GIVE THEM A CHANCE GUYS!!!!! (Rant Complete)

I love Defiance. The story, the actors and the play. Everything is well done. The subject can be exploited for many seasons, like Andromeda or Seaquest.

So I hope to see many more seasons.

Internet haters are morons.

Defiance has its flaws, but overall it’s a solid and entertaining show.

Get off your fat asses and create something from scratch if you think it’s so easy.
