Harry’s Law: Half of the Cast Not Returning for Season Two

Though Harry’s Law was renewed for a second season, half of the cast won’t be back this fall. According to TV Line sources, both Brittany Snow and Aml Ameen are out for season two.

Reportedly, the parting of the ways was a mutual decision and both performers have been invited to return as guest stars — possibly to give secretary Jenna and paralegal Malcolm a proper farewell. Kathy Bates and Nate Corddry are returning for the new season and presumably some new series regulars will be added.

Harry’s Law started out strong for the peacock network but lost steam as the season progressed, particularly in the 18-49 demographic. It was renewed for a second season likely because NBC has a lot of other schedule holes to fill and the TV series attracts a large overall audience.

For the 2011-12 season, Harry’s Law is slated to air in the 9pm timeslot on Wednesday nights.

What do you think? Will you miss Jenna and Malcolm? Will you stick with the series?

Great move on Wednesday nights, It played opposite CBS Hawaii Five-o and I always had to DVR both shows, Having two great shows opposite makes it a tough ratings war.

As long as Five-0 doesn’t move to wednesdays I believe Harry’s law will be back for a long run!

Harry’s law was a great ! Realistic, suitable for the whole family. I pray that it comes back.
I will miss Amel Ameen. I thought he played a major part and besides what will Harry do
without him. NBC stands to loose if they decide not to keep it. The world Love’s Harry’s Law.

I won’t miss the 2 characters that are leaving. Kathy Bates and “Tommy” really are the ones that give the show so much appeal for me. I hope the writers don’t try to change their characters and continue to give viewers something without all the sex, profanity, etc., etc.

Watched this show evertime it came on it is on my favorites to be taped when it comes on. I watch the show because of Kathy Bates. The two actors will be missed but for their parts other actors will do just as well. I am glad it is returning.

I loved the show and was so hoping it would return. Too bad all the cast is not returning, but Kathy Bates makes the show with Will, and I am sure how ever it changes, it will work. It was one of my favorites, I would have been disapointed if it did not return. Thanks NBC

Wow, they killed the exact reasons I don’t watch it anymore. I guess I’ll give it another shot.
Kudos for “getting it” and putting the good part of the show back together while cutting out the crap.

In truth, Jenna and Malcolm were pretty peripheral to the show. I think they can easily be replaced by new cast members without affecting things very much.

I like Harry’s Law and will continue to watch it.

Harry’s Law was a good show, as was The Cape IMO. I sure hope some other channel like Scyfy or something picks it up and renews it. I really liked the two characters that are leaving the show, but as long as shooter McGavin is on board, I am too!

WHAT? I cannot believe Brittany Snow will not be back. I thought the interaction between her and Harry was hilarious and gave the show a lot of the comedy that made it so enjoyable. I am disappointed but I did love the show so I will be back.

i really like harry’s law. i thought it was cancelled, til i looked it up online and found it was coming back. i love kathy bates, she is phenomenal!! this show is unlike any other court show, it’s fun, sharp and the characters are relatable. i am excited to see that brittany snow won’t be returning, she was horribly written (conceited, shallow and predantic) i will miss aml ameen though, i found his character to be uplifting, charming and grounded. thank god for empty slots.
