One Tree Hill: Chad Michael Murray Returns for Last Season

One Tree Hill season 9Fans of One Tree Hill have one more reason to tune in for the ninth and final season. Original series star Chad Michael Murray is set to return for a guest appearance for one of the final 13 episodes.

Murray’s character, Lucas Scott, was last seen driving off into the sunset with his wife Peyton (Hilarie Burton) and their new baby Sawyer at the end of season six. Lucas will return to Tree Hill after Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) reaches out to him for help.

Word is that, at least for now, Burton is not coming back with him. In the past however, the actress has said that she was open to the possibility of returning.

The last 13 episodes of One Tree Hill are scheduled to kick off mid-season on The CW though an exact date hasn’t been announced yet.

What do you think? Will you tune in to see Murray return to One Tree Hill? What would you like to see happen in the final season?

I think they should have done another time jump like they did with the previous 4 year 6 month time jump. In this time jump they would go to the time where all of the babies of the original cast would now be teenagers. You have Peyton-Lucas’ child, Halley-Nathan’s kids, and Brooke-Jullians twins and the show could basically restart again.

No, I will not watch the final season. The people responsible for airing & cutting TV shows hopefully will lose their jobs as well if enough people follow as well. I stopped paying for all my extra channels & only went to basic TV service to watch the news & Sunday & Monday football. Stop paying $200 per month & pay only $30 per month for TV service hopefully these idiots who cancel all these shows will be forced to look for employment as well.

Honestly… I thought this show’s last season had a finality to it and did not need to continue… there was no cliffhanger and everyone seemed to have a happy ending. I honestly have no idea why they would keep going and what story they can tell in the final 13 episodes remaining without de-finalizing it. I hate shows that end without a proper conclusion and I was good with the one they had last season.

I love the idea of “Lucus” returning to One Tree. There is no other series like this one on today, and feel they should keep trying, however, I was very disappointed that Peyton and Lucus did not return for Brooke and Julian’s wedding. This whole series has been based on the bond between friends, and Lucus has been there for Brooke through everything, and then on the most important day of her life not only was Lucus not there, but Peyton as well big disappointment. I will really miss this show.

Yea! Lucas is coming back. I missed him and Peyton. Because they were not there I stopped watching the show. Now that Lucas is back I’m gonna watch it because of him.

This is great news. The show hasn’t been the same without him and Peyton.
