The Sing-Off: NBC TV Series Renewed for Season Three

The Sing-Off renewedThe sweet harmonies are going to keep coming on NBC. The peacock network has decided to renew The Sing-Off for a third season.

Hosted by Nick Lachey, the reality competition pits a capella groups against each another in pursuit of a Sony Music recording contract and $100,000. The judges are Ben Folds, Shawn Stockman, and Nicole Scherzinger.

Airing in December of 2009, the first season of The Sing-Off attracted an average raitng of 2.3 in the 18-49 demographic and 6.88 million viewers. The series returned for a special week-long event this past December and saw a significant improvement. The five episodes averaged a 2.9 rating in the demo and 8.56 million.

The Sing-Off is NBC’s second-highest rated reality series of the season. Considering the fact that it’s NBC’s third-highest rated series overall, its no surprise that NBC has opted for a third season.

The network hasn’t announced when season three of The Sing-Off will air but another holiday run seems likely.

What do you think? Glad to hear the show will be back for another round?

This show will miss Nicole Scherzinger who will be joining Simon and paula on The X Factor but i do wish they would bring back Patti LaBelle and show more than 5 episodes

Please do the seasons 3,4,5,6……..!!!! Love the talent, the fresh sounds and purity of music and the judges seem very fair supportive and are constructive in any criticism given to help them all do better. This makes for a very entertaining show and I think better than X Factor or American idol, no offense to their shows intended. I think any one of the groups on Sing Off could hold their own on singing talent! Quality of teamwork, supportive spirit to each other competing outstanding! Sorry I sound like I am not a huge fan, I will work on it! I have made myself a fan online of everyone of the contestants and love their being down ot earth and in touch with their fan base! Go Sing Off Soar ever higher! Great Television for a change!!!! God Bless Sing Off
