Angela Bassett is headed to FOX. Deadline reports the network has ordered a new TV series with the America Horror Story star called 911.
From Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, the drama is reportedly “in the vein of ER and revolves around 911 operators.” In addition to starring, Bassett will serve as an executive producer on the show.
FOX has ordered 13 episodes of 911, which is slated to launch in early 2018. More details are expected soon.

I love this show and can’t wait each week to watch it. Sadly last Thursday when we tried to watch it, there were no episodes!
Really enjoy this show. Why can’t it just be a fun show to watch…fast paced and just fun entertainment. Lots of respect and appreciation for all emergency personnel. I used to love the old EMERGENCY show from way bay when and can you imagine how much things were embellished or just wrong there. G
I was a 911 dispatcher for 13 years and an emt. This show is Not correct. Ok people in that trailer? And an emt/ firefighter on the phone? Wouldn’t happen in real life. A EMT/Firefighter traffic accident with a projectile sticking out his head? No hospital would turn away his fire house family ( my son is firefighter my husband a cop). The dispatchers are not asking the correct questions. Number 1 important information to get is WHERE IS YOUR EMERGENCY!!! ADDRESS!!! Phone number. OMG this is the best show!!! Peter Krause is amazing!! The entire ensemble is captivating. And the story lines are awesome.

If you could possibly have watched last night’s show 1/10/18 and not been on the edge of your seat , please go on and turn to oprah or one of the other brain dead shows that fill up the air time. Fantastic breath of fresh air in a stuffy room filled with old old old and outdated old.
Just saw It, it’s a grate show that does seem real enough to work . It could get 3 seasons maybe more to early to tell.
Awful show that could be a comedy. The show insults real first responders. Angela Bassett’s talents are wasted here.

After watching the trailer the simple anwser is NO! I know it’s Hollywood but who the hell is your tech advisor, someone who spent a year in the field. As a paramedic of 25 years and a cop of 21 I know the real pain of my job. Countless people lost and the screams associated with that pain. Come on Fox, let’s do a show that really tells our story!
I work as a 911 police and fire dispatcher for 27 yrs in a busy metropolitan area. Should be interesting to see if they get this right. I hope that they do. People need to understand we are not secretaries or office workers, we are the true 1st first responders and we have a high stress job with peoples lives in our hands.
I think she’s a wonderful actress but CBS cancels a lot of shows I don’t know if they will cancel her show in a year or not.
This show is on Fox, not CBS.
