TV show description:
A dramedy from creator John Riggi, the American Woman TV show is inspired by the childhood of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member, Kyle Richards, sister of former child star Kim Richards and Kathy Hilton. The series centers on Bonnie (Silverstone), a single mother of two daughters.
It’s the 1970s in America. Second-wave feminism is on the rise, and the sexual revolution is in full force, when the heroine discovers her husband, Steve (Tupper), is having an affair. Now, Bonnie has to figure out how to make it on her own, with a little help from her friends, Diana (Bartels) and Kathleen (Suvari).

I would love to see the show renewed. It’s just a good easy to watch show that lets your mind relax and not have to really concentrate on everything that’s being said all the time.

This show, American Woman” makes Sex & the City appear like an amateur show.
Whoever made decision to cancel American Woman probably wasn’t even born until the 90’s but we Generation X & Baby Boomers were lucky to have experienced the 70’s, back before shows became raunchy and you cant let your kids watch shows these days with all the cursing and nudity! Absolute shame.
Please renew this show! Only thing wrong with it is it’s only a half hour. While Sara thinks it’s too predictable, I disagree. She has definitely never lived as a single working woman with two children back in the 70’s or even 80’s. Women weren’t treated the same as they are now and this shows that and brings humor into the mix. Great show!!
The storyline is so preditcable, we have all seen the same story playout many times. The single mom hustling to raise her kids, but this story is a single mom in Hollywood with all its rich men and perks. I don’t feel empathy for Bonnie at all. I feel bad for Alicia Silverstone, she is a good actress but deserved a better show.
