TV show description:
Over thirty years ago, Ashley “Ash” Williams (Bruce Campbell) and four of his college friends, vacationed in a remote woodland cabin. Through their own ignorance, they awoke the Kandarian demons — creatures able to possess humans and turn them into evil dead monsters, commonly known as Deadites. The sole survivor of the Deadites, Ash lost all of his friends and a hand, but vanquished his foes.

Today, this horror-comedy finds Ash as a middle-aged stock boy at ValuStop, and he is worse for the wear. Reckless, arrogant, and under the influence of intoxicating substances, this swaggering manchild inadvertently summons the Kandarian demons, while seducing a woman.

As the Deadite plague spreads, Ash — armed with his chainsaw-hand and trusty “boomstick” — is joined in the fight by co-worker, Pablo Simon Bolivar (Ray Santiago). Trained as a Brujo, or Honduran shaman, Pablo is a loyal friend to (and fan-boy of) Ash.

ValuStop employee, Kelly Maxwell (Dana DeLorenzo), who lost her loved ones to the Deadites, thirsts for revenge. Horror and loss have hardened this once amiable girl into a bitter, aloof warrior. With no one left in her life, she forms an alliance with Ash, and with Pablo — who pines for her.

Michigan State Police Detective, Amanda Fisher (Jill Marie Jones), is highly regarded, until the bizarre and gruesome death of her partner. Her investigation into his death leads her to suspect Ash. In an effort to clear her own name and rehabilitate her professional reputation, Amanda resolves to get Ash — dead or alive.

Sexy and mysterious, Ruby (Lucy Lawless), is an expert on Kandarian demonology and the Deadite plague that took her family, more than three decades ago. Having identified Ash as the sole survivor of the Deadite outbreak which claimed her loved ones, Ruby sets her sights on him, when the Deadites return.
