CBS has had mixed success with their new crime dramas this season. NCIS: New Orleans has been renewed for a second season while Stalker has been dropped from the schedule and may likely be cancelled. What will happen to Battle Creek? Stay tuned.
Battle Creek revolves around two mismatched law enforcement officers — Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) and FBI Special Agent Milton Chamberlain (Josh Duhamel) — who have polar opposite views of the world and end up being partners. The rest of the cast includes Janet McTeer, Kal Penn, Aubrey Dollar, and Edward Fordham Jr.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/8 update: CBS has cancelled the Battle Creek series midway through its first season.
Final season averages: 0.75 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.12 million total viewers.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.

Battle Creek is great. It is refreshing to have a show with some clean humor. Good acting. That last episode showed how great it could be. It took a bit of time to develope the characters, unfortunately. Give it another try
Please don’t cancel my favorite show!

As always, please be polite and respectful in your letter/communications with those at CBS while telling them why Battle Creek deserves a second season. We want the SaveBattleCreek campaign to be one that is taken seriously, so we’re trying to fight for our show as politely as possible. 🙂
Thanks.

What moron decided to cancel Battle Creek?! Probably someone who thought Seinfield was also a failing show the first season. Thanks much for not letting it get it’s following – that would be those with more intelligence than those who canceled it have shown.
CBS has yet to confirm the cancellation of Battle Creek but the fans are trying to get a #SaveBattleCreek movement going by starting a petition, which can be signed here: https://t.co/yqxQyjjmZI A feedback form can be sent to CBS as well through their audience services link. BC should NOT be cancelled. It had a shakey start but with character development, through chemistry & conflict as well as improved plots viewers are becoming invested in Battle Creek. AND what was CBS thinking putting a rookie series up against something like NASCAR. Tacky move CBS! Can only hope that the CBS powers that be come to their senses & see the error of their ways! SAVE BATTLE CREEK!
I hoep a cable channel will pick this up!!!
i am 19 years old so I guess i fall into the demographic that you are trying to please….although it it pretty selfish of CBS to only want to worry about 18-49. Anyway, my friends and i love this show….cute guys, great stories – DO NOT CANCEL!!!!
