It looks like the vacation is over. Recently, Jeff Dye confirmed that NBC has cancelled Better Late Than Never after two seasons.
The reality show follows Henry Winkler, William Shatner, Terry Bradshaw, and George Foreman as they travel the world with both help and misdirection from tech-savvy comedian Jeff Dye.
On Twitter, Dye revealed NBC has decided not to renew Better Late Than Never. The series wrapped its second season in February with an average rating of .91 in the 18-49 demo and 4.819 million viewers. That’s a nearly 40% drop in ratings from season one.

What do you think? Have you seen Better Late Than Never? Are you sad it’s been cancelled?
NBC makes yet another bad decision. I love this show and could always count on laughing the whole way through. Bring it back!!!
What’s wrong with a show appealing to someone outside of their stupid demographic? We’re love this show with icons from our youth. Bring it directly to Netflix or Hulu.
NBC, bring this show back!!!! The cast is great, so funny!!!
Such a good show, NBC, why did you get rid of it???!!!! Very funny show, please bring it back!!!!!!
This was the one show we looked forward to every week !!!! Extremely disappointed that NBC has cancelled Better Late Than Never ….
Better Late Than Never is one of the BEST shows you had !!! To cancel this show is beyond crazy. I am watching the reruns on Demand and still laugh so hard I cry!! We need this in our lives , LAUGHTER !!! With all the hate and violence in the world it was something I looked forward to watching and laughing so hard I cried and peed my pants!!
I really loved this show so of course they cancelled it. NBC really needs to rethink this because it was hilarious.
Really NBC!!! here is a truly entertaining show with 4 of the funniest guys ever. Four guys who truly care about each other and having good clean fun. Better late than ever is great family entertainment, not garbage like so much other stuff on tv. This just shows how out of touch the networks are with their viewers. We grew up watching Terry, George, Captain Kirk and the Fonz. Here they were all together, looking like they were having genuine fun and making tv fun for the viewers again. Well hopefully another network picks it up and shows NBC what… Read more »
Aww c’mon – this show was great fun. Bring it back! Why do they always cancel good and entertaining shows and leave on the crap that is worthless?! Argh. 🙁
“Better late than never” was the best show on television in the Summer! NBC shows once again that they are clueless when it comes to programming that people love and want!!! What are you going to replace it with??? Another tired ass reality show??
This show was hilarious, and I know other people that loved it too! It was NOT well advertised though. I missed the whole first season and someone told me about it when the 2nd season was starting. I watched it all, then went back and watched all of Season 1! Please renew! It’s so much better than a lot of the crap you air!
Please do not cancel Better late than ever. One of the funniest shows and love watching these guys together.
PLEASE-PLEASE-PLEASE-PUT ” BETTER LATE THAN NEVER” Back on TV. Perhaps advertise it more – people will watch it , if they know about it. I came upon it by mistake. And, LOVED_LOVED_it. Was looking forward to it this year–I’m so disappointed!
I can’t believe better late than never has been cancelled, this was and is the most enjoyable reality show. So much fun to watch than some of the rubbish and fake so called reality shows that are playing now. I hope the network has a change of heart or another network has the good sense to pick it up, it seems to me if you are an older entertainer and just having sincere fun and generally entertaining views on a reality show, instead of being a younger fake looking, fake acting and always squabbling or sulking, and this is called… Read more »
We keep rewatching the 2 seasons & were hoping for a 3rd. It’s sad that there won’t be a season 3!! We know so many people that love this show.
