It looks like the vacation is over. Recently, Jeff Dye confirmed that NBC has cancelled Better Late Than Never after two seasons.
The reality show follows Henry Winkler, William Shatner, Terry Bradshaw, and George Foreman as they travel the world with both help and misdirection from tech-savvy comedian Jeff Dye.
On Twitter, Dye revealed NBC has decided not to renew Better Late Than Never. The series wrapped its second season in February with an average rating of .91 in the 18-49 demo and 4.819 million viewers. That’s a nearly 40% drop in ratings from season one.

What do you think? Have you seen Better Late Than Never? Are you sad it’s been cancelled?
I was just checking when the show would be back – was looking forward to season 3! It was a great show to relax to in the summertime – thoughts of William Shatner devastated by the deaths of his koi fish still makes me laugh (sorry for your loss!). Loved seeing Abba and David Hasselhof! Laughed at the Sound of Music bits.
I’ll be re-watching on Demand.
Hope another channel picks it up – I want to see more William Shatner, Henry Winkler and the gang!
Loved the show wish it was coming back I was checking when it was on again
Loved the show! Sorry they’re cancelled.
Great show sorry that the network isn’t renewing. Network needs to rethink their decision
So sad and disappointed that the show won’ t have a third year. It was and is a great show with great people
So sad. this was the funniest show on tv .just not the right station
Absolutely loved this show! Please bring it back!!
Made me smile start to finish!
We love that show, please bring it back
Please bring it back we loved it!
Bad decision on the part of NBC. This is an excellent show that we really enjoyed watching. The only one that we watched on your network. Try to keep up with that reality. You are not going far with your demographics ideas. That crowd is too busy with Netflix and other internet weirdness to watch a great show. Wise up to who you should be programming for.
So sad that the show won’t be back. One of the funniest shows. With all the stuff going on around the world it was a great way to get a chance to relax and laugh. Nice to watch a a show with no killing and bad language. We so need Never too late back again!!
well hell.. leave it to the numb nuts to cancel one of the best shows on the major networks in a long time… shame on you all…please bring these fun , loving, wacky, interesting guys back
I have been waiting for the new season, can’t believe it has been cancelled. That’s why everyone is going to Netflix and other networks as NBC, ABC, CBS all cancel the great show after 1 or 2 seasons, then replace with another reality show, far fetched detective shows that then get canceled also.
I can not believe that this show was cancelled – NBC – you finally had a good family show and that everyone in the family could sit down together and enjoy. We have not had that in a long time – and that is sad – now there isn’t anything you offer that is even close- I am thankful they have Hallmark-
I can’t believe Better Late Than Never was cancelled. This was one of the funniest shows on TV and my family and I looked forward each week for the next episode. This show was much more entertaining than the game shows they have on this summer. Why get rid of the funny shows and put the crap you have on your channel NBC? We looked forward to seeing where they would travel to next, what these adventurous souls would do while there, tricks they would play on each other, and commroderie they shared. We will miss these 4 amigos. I… Read more »
