It looks like Black Lightning is on his own. Recently, executive producer Greg Berlanti revealed the upcoming FOX series is unlikely to crossover with The CW’s many DC Comics series, Comic Book Resources reports.
From Mara Brock Akil, and Salim Akil, the new DC show will center on Jefferson Pierce, a retired superhero who suits back up as the wanted vigilante Black Lightning to help protect his family.
When asked about a possible crossover between Black Lightning and The CW’s DC shows, which include Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl, Berlanti said he doesn’t think the worlds will meet:
I don’t think so. If we’re lucky enough that that exists, that that show exists, I don’t think those worlds will cross over.”
FOX has not yet announced a premiere date for Black Lightning, which is still in development.
What do you think? Are you a fan of DC Comics? Do you hope the series will cross over in the future?
Of course, I hope Black Lightning will crossover in the future. He must be from another Earth like Supergirl.
