Several critics have called Brooklyn Nine-Nine the best new sitcom of the season. Will viewers agree and bring big ratings? Or, will it be one of those “critical darlings” that ends up getting cancelled after one season? Time will tell.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine follows a wise-guy cop who’s always had his way after a by-the-book captain starts leading the precinct. The sitcom’s cast includes Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Melissa Fumero, Terry Crews, Stephanie Beatriz, Chelsea Peretti, and Joe Lo Truglio.
The higher a show’s ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better its chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically the following morning, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
10/18 update: FOX has given this sitcom a full season order.
3/7 update: FOX has renewed the show for a second season.

These are the final national numbers (unless noted with an “*”). These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Brooklyn Nine-Nine TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Best police comedy since Barney Miller DO NOT CANCEL!!!!
No. This is B99 season 1. The Nielsen glitch was in the first week of season 2.
Sorry, I still get questions regarding the glitch numbers so assumed that’s what you were talking about. I checked my records and you are correct so I’ve changed the chart. It doesn’t change the averages but I like to be as accurate as possible. Thanks for the note.
The premier episode had a 2.6 rating so this means the average will change
There was a Nielsen glitch in the first few weeks of the season. This show’s second season debut ended up being a 2.7 in the demo, not 2.6 as initially reported.
renew please this is the best show ever
In my opinion it should stay .
I’m a fan of comedies and this is one of the best comedies I’ve ever seen .
It must stay .
I hate it when good showed get cancelled. This show should definitely stay!!!!
How does this show stay on the air? Draws only 2.5 million viewers a week and is voted best comedy? Since when doesn’t the popularity of a show make a difference? Robin Williams show drew twice as many viewers and got cancelled. Go figure.
Renew, renew, renew!
I happen to love both Dads and Brooklyn 99, and hope they both stay. I have been saddened by a lot of funny comedies going by the wayside while things like Lost stay on for years. Hopefully, I will be thrilled to find out B99 will be back again in 2015. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!
