Season four of When Calls the Heart airs its finale tonight — Sunday, April 23rd. But should there be a fifth season? What do you think? Should Hallmark Channel cancel or renew the TV series?
The historical drama follows Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow), a young teacher whose life is turned upside down when she moves to a small, coal mining town. The cast also includes Daniel Lissing, Lori Loughlin, Chelah Horsdal, Mitchell Kummen, Gracyn Shinyei, and Martin Cummins.
When Calls the Heart is a solid performer for Hallmark Channel. Ratings for season four are up from season three, with an average rating of 0.28 in the 18-49 demo and 2.41 million viewers so far. For comparison, season three averaged a .24 rating in the 18-49 demo and 2.06 million viewers.
It seems like a fifth season renewal should be a slam dunk but there’s been no announcement yet. Once again, the “Hearties” are having to be patient.

Yes and stay with the story line. You are doing a awesome job of the different things people faced back in that time. i even have my 13 year old male child that watches with me each sunday night. All 4 seasons. Keep us going. Thank you

Glad it’s coming back, it is one of the few shows that I really love on t.v. Yes, I want Jack to come back, we all love the romance going on in between everything. Cannot say enough wonderful things about it!

Yes! Definitely continue the When Calls the Heart series five!! It is the best thing on TV and I would like for it to have more continuous episodes!! It is much too long to wait for a new season.
