Fans won’t be seeing what happens to Olivia Lockhart in a fourth season of Cedar Cove. Hallmark Channel has cancelled their first scripted TV show after three seasons and 36 episodes.
Cedar Cove revolves around Olive (Andie MacDowell), a single mother from a small seaside community who’s also a municipal court judge. Olivia does her best to balance her career with family and finding love — all the while doing her best to care for the township she calls home. The rest of the cast includes Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Sarah Smyth, Colin Ferguson, Bruce Boxleitner, Barbara Niven, Brennan Elliot, Corey Sevier, Sebastian Spence, Tom Stevens, Jesse Hutch, Jesse Moss, Emily Tennant, and Timothy Webber.
Hallmark’s first scripted TV series debuted in July 2013 to 2.62 million viewers. Though the TV show lasted three seasons, the ratings dropped each year. The first season of Cedar Cove averaged about two million viewers. The second season averaged 1.87 million and the third season averaged 1.67 million.
The cable channel announced the cancellation on their Facebook page. Here’s the statement:

For not having season 4, I feel like I’m left hanging. I truly enjoy your original series with Hallmark!! Your shows and movies are truly real, spiritual and not like reality TV. I look for to my relaxing time watching your channel where the featured authors books become alive!!!

So upset about Cedar Cove cancellation Everyone I know loves it and the actors Praying Hallmark will reconsider or another channel could pick it up I will greatly miss this program that made me feel like I was there in Cedar Cove with these amazing characters / Miss you Olivia!!!
I am so upset that you would cancel season 4 of Cedar Cove. It was such a wonderful series. Why would you not at least have a final series to answer the unanswered questions? Please add at least one more season. I would like it to be a year round show.
I cannot stand it when they cancell a series without tying up all of the loose ends. SO MANY unanswered questions. It is just not right. Feels like they do not care about the viewers that watched every week. I am afraid to get hooked on another series. How do we know they won’t do the same thing again. They should at least have a final show to answer all of the questions left open.

Ahhhhh! I am in disbelief! I didn’t have Hallmark Channel when the show started. When I heard about it I waited and purchased every episode on Amazon. I now have Hallmark Channel and couldn’t wait to watch the 4th Season. I even got my husband hooked! So disappointed! This should really be re-thought!
I am also disappointed there was no season 4. I depend on hallmark for descent shows and movies without shut. Perhaps you xould do some movies to help bring closure. I like serial movies on your network.
Watched the three seasons and finished the last today and was totally shocked at how it ended. I believe you owe the viewers a wrap up episode. I loved the series and can’t express how disappointed I was to see it like like it did.
Sorry to see Cedar Cove cancelled. Hallmark should have given it another season with a ending.

I am very disappointed that your not bringing back Cedar Cove for a fourth season! This was a great show I loved it. I’m getting so tired of all these shows that are getting cancelled. We the viewers want to see these kind of shows that the whole family can watch and enjoy. Of all the network Chanel’s I would have thought better of you, after all you are the family show King and have been around for years. That’s why we still watch. So disappointed this series was cancelled! Great cast and enjoyed the story line. My husband watched and enjoyed also. The decrease in viewers was not that significant and wonder if you really researched to determine why. Very disappointed in your decision to cancel!
