A single-camera comedy series, the Chad TV show is created by writer/executive producer and showrunner Pedrad. The Iranian-American actress also stars in the title role. Co-star are Ella Mika, Saba Homayoon, Paul Chahidi, Jake Ryan, and Alexa Loo. The story follows a 14-year-old pubescent Persian boy named Chad (Pedrad) as he navigates his first year of high school. His mission, like many high schoolers, is to become popular. Chad’s friendships and sanity are pushed to the limits as he uses every tactic at his disposal to befriend the cool kids, while enduring the new dating life of his mother, Naz (Homayoon), and reconciling with his cultural identity.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

So I get it, but does TBS? It’s failing because the main premise is that a middle aged woman is pretending to be a teenage boy who is trying to have sex with teenage girls. That’s not cringe, it’s illegal. That’s what is turning people off. If the lead was an age appropriate female pretending to be male, then it wouldn’t feel so slimy.
Ridiculous to have an adult woman try to pull off the role of a teen male. Not only does she LOOK and sound like a female, her acting is embarrassingly bad. Cancel Cancel Cancel this cringeworthy joke of a show.
I hate it, he’s to whiny and i don’t appreciate the cussing on the show, trying to have sex and i mostly hated it when he called his sister a *****.
I love this series. Im Gen X and the characters are like modern day John Hughs characters. Please let this one live!
Wow! Contrary to other reviews I love this show. The writing and acting are great. The theme of the desperate awkward attempts to the social pressures of high school are masterfully portrayed.
The show is a poor showcasing of an “comedian’s ” talents and strengths in her own ability to play a decent character. Get this garbage off #tbs
Literally the stupidest show i have ever had the misfortune to sugfer through.
Being named Chad, this show is stupid and she is lost at how a 14 years old is. I have 3 boys and the youngest is 13. The show is one of the worst shows I have ever watched.
Horrible, this wasn’t gonna last 15 minutes. Grown woman that is a non realist 13 year old boy.
What were you thinking? All the footage is beyond horrible.

Why is a grown woman playing a young boy? Are there no young boys who can play this role? Weird to me.
But Eddie and Tyler can play EVERY character? Embrace the art. She is very talented.
Didn’t watch it and won’t watch it! The commercials were enough for me to know it’s horrible!
The commercials are so irritating that my wife and I mute the tv whenever they come on. Nothing about this show entices me to watch it, but that doesn’t stop TBS from trying to shove it down our throats. I can’t wait for them to cancel it so I don’t have to endure another insipid ad.
I actually find Chad to be funny. I love the show.
I found I could only watch the first half. I did not find it funny. To watch the struggles he put forth were so sad. Even painful.
