NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.
What do you think? Will you miss Chase? Why do you think it didn’t catch on?

There are so few goood shows on. I don’t watch much tv for just this reason. My husband and I really liked this show. I wish they would reconsider but we’ll probablly get a reality tv show.
Chase should go on! There is a large audience who are tired of reality tv and game shows…..why does nbc “always” cancel the good ones….
Hope Harry’s Law not on chopping block….that you be two huge mistakes in a year!
Chase was probably one of my most favorite shows! NBC NEEDS to bring it back!
Ahhh i am so bummed to read this, i loved chase it was one of my most favorite shows and i hope they do bring it back, i was wondering why it hadnt been on like it was only a fall winter show but whatever nbc sucks for this, maybe another network will pick it up
I loved this show. In my opinion this show is much much better than all these reality show people are watching. Please bring Chase back.
I am totally bummed. Chase is a Great Show. Cole Hauser is a Hottie and looks just like my boyfriend. I suppose America was busy watching reality TV which is just sickening.
Please bring Chase back. The rating must be wrong.
What a disappointment! This show was much better than others still running on all the networks….please bring “Chase” back!!!!!
My wife and I loved Chase. Please try it again at a better time slot.
I am really disappointed that NBC canceled or haleted the show CHASE here in Southeast Ohio we loved the show it was the talk of town to make sure we got home to watch it. This was a show that families gathered around the TV to watch togahter, I am sorry they took this off we at the Sloan house really willl miss the TV Show shame on you. I truly thought that this was a well liked show, So I guess we will have to find another show on CBS or ABC to take the place of CHASE
What a awesome show….great drama and the cast was believable, real and likeable.
When you move a show around without much notice you will lose the fans of the show.
Bring it back .. if you dont are you going to put out a DVD with ALL 22 shows?
Boy! the writing on this show was fantistic….
I really looked forward to watching ‘Chase’ each week, and am very disappointed it is being taken off. I hope you will consider bringing it back next season. It would be nice to at least see the last four episodes!
I love Chase!! Bring it back!!!
Anyone who likes fast-moving drama certainly should like Chase. There are so many others that should be cancelled but aren’t! Yes, please bring it back – at least the other 5 that are left!
Yes I loved the show….I was unaware that it had been moved to Wednesdays….once I did figure it out….I watched a couple of episodes, then it was taken away! BRING THE SHOW BACK!!!!!!!
Chase was awesome i was wondering where it went and I am bummed it isnt looking promising to see it come back..but I do think it got a bit predictable( what cop show doesnt though, am I right!) I think it is a show that has the potential of the plot caring out for more then one episode. Narco part 1 and 2 were both awesome and it left you on your toes for what was going to happen in the next week left me itchin for more! longer plot lines would peak a higher interest! just my thoughts!
