Is there no justice? TNT has cancelled the Cold Justice TV show. Star and former crime scene investigator, Yolanda McClary, has confirmed the cancellation via her verified Facebook account. Cold Justice no longer shows up on TNT’s show list. It is also not listed under TNT properties on Tuner’s press website.
An unscripted procedural drama from Dick Wolf, Wolf Films, and Magical Elves Productions, Cold Justice featured McClary and former prosecutor Kelly Siegler, investigating unsolved murder cases.
Last July, Deadline reported TNT, Wolf Films, Magical Elves, Siegler, McClary, and Alan Brown were sued by an acquitted murder suspect featured on Cold Justice, for civil rights violations, negligence, and intentional torts. There is no word on why the show was cancelled.
In April a fan posted to McClary’s Facebook page, asking if Cold Justice was returning. McClary replied, “I’m afraid not. But, we had a good run and I’m so thankful for all the fans that I look at as friends in my life now. I feel blessed by you all.”
A week and a half later, another fan posed the same question (and asked after McClary’s dogs). McClary said, “The show was cancelled by TNT. The production company is trying to find a new network. My dogs are doing great! Sammy is 7 months old already and as big as a mini horse. Lol.”
In the comments of one of McClary’s posts, another fan asked when Cold Justice would be back. On May 2nd, McClary replied, “I’m sorry. I don’t have any answers on that. If it gets picked up and when they have a shoot schedule, I’m sure a post will go out. 👍”
The official Cold Justice show page on Facebook has not been updated since January 26, 2016.
What do you think? Are you a fan of the Cold Justice TV series? Was TNT right to cancel Cold Justice, or should it have been renewed for a fourth season?
We loved this show!! It’s real and not fake like the other shows and it gave people hope that someday their case would have a chance of being looked into further!! Shame on tnt for taking this away! We loved this cast of people I only hope somebody will pick this back up so these wonderful, caring, professionals can get back to work showing America their is justice out there!!!!!
I want Cold Justice!
Loved this show. Was emotional. inspiring. educational. Never leave the good shows on, just the trash of people acting like asses to get ratings. I understand networks need to make money, but damn, why isn’t about doing the right thing
Go figure, they finally have a good show and they go an cancel it!!!
Well said, Barbara. No coincidence that another women-led program has been demolished by the tasteless, network never-mind-what-viewers-want cretins. Disgusted with TNT and join you in boycotting.
I am so disappointed that this brilliant show was cancelled. I looked forward to this show every week. Bring it back. I don’t know who monitors the ratings but everyone I know watched this show. That is a lot of people. I think I will boycott TNT. They also cancelled Murder in the First. Idiots.
Couldn’t have said it better myself IDIOTS they are for sure
This show should still be on TV. It’s an excellent show. I learned a lot from the show. Please, let it come back !
I looked forward every week to watching the show. I hope it’s picked back up with a different network.
I thought the show was great! Super interesting and methodical. I am sure a lot of shows get sued but I understand that in this instance these are people’s lives if you get it wrong – just like in the real world. I hope it returns but at the same time we don’t want anyone who is “not guilty” to have their lives adversely affected for entertainment value.
This was a great show! Better than any other stuff out there! I sure hope a network picks it up!
My wife and I were fans of the show. It actally had substance, unlike other reality TV shows.
I love(d) Cold Justice and really miss it. I will continue to hope they find another channel for it.
Too bad, great show
We have been waiting to see the next season, what a shame! It was a great show!!
This was my favorite show on TNT. This happens all the time, these networks could care less what the viewers think, just remember without us you won’t have a network.
