The Bowmaan family is hanging it up. USA Network has cancelled the Colony TV show after three seasons. Fans have suspected a cancellation was on the way, because this year, the series does not have an official presence at San Diego Comic-Con, which is currently underway. Reportedly, episode 3.13, “What Goes Around Comes Around,” which airs Wednesday, July 25th at 10:00pm ET/PT, will serve as the Colony TV series finale.
A USA Network sci-fi drama from Carlton Cuse and Ryan J. Condal, Colony stars Josh Holloway, Sarah Wayne Callies, Tory Kittles, Peter Jacobson, and Alex Neustaedter. The story unfolds in the near-future, in a world where citizens are under military occupation, as a part of a larger extraterrestrial invasion. Former FBI agent Will Bowman (Holloway) and wife Katie (Callies) struggle to reunite and rebuild their family as they fight to uncover the truth behind the occupation.
Colony: A Look at the Ratings
Leading up to the season three finale, the third season of Colony is averaging a 0.17 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 672,000 viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 36% and 18%, respectively. Check out how Colony stacks up against other USA Network TV shows.

Colony is one of the best tv series produced that has clever writing, great cast of characters (both good side and bad side) that has lots of action, twist and turns. I truly believe the network should change their mind and give Colony another chance to return and finish off with a proper ending. The network should also rethink how they decide what stays and what ends. Having to compare the ratings from last season the to current season is weak and short sighted method. A great show with a difference a season 4 should be made heck cleaver writing you could get at least 2 more seasons on this.
The end of season 3 rushed and not impressed at least end it properly I feel you could get more and a streaming service should take it on board.
Colony is one of the most passionate and action prone TV series I ever seen, with a very strong and inteligent movie plot! It cannot be canceled at all. I am sure that the 4th season will come up sooner or later, or there will be thousands of heart breaking around the world.

I’ve been fortunate enough to finally find something that I can come home to and watch intensely. I’m an Issac Asimov fan, a crazy sci-Fi junky, and to find out Colony is booted is beyond belief. Why put Will in pod and not find out what we all ( for three seasons) have been waiting for. The real reason the occupation was here and how that came about. I hate when a series is canceled and the fans don’t get to see a proper ending! At the very least, please film an episode to give some closure. Another season would be great, but I’ll take at least that.
If it’s cancelled, that’s fine, but after 3 years, viewers deserve a proper ending. Everything led up to the war and now we’re left with a rushed ending with loose ends. Networks that do this lose viewer’s trust.
Enjoyed the show. It should return to either finish up the story or to continue on. I thought it was better this year than last.
USA is crazy for not keeping this show. At least let the show come to some kind of climax before axing it. Fans all over are angry that USA cancelled it. Maybe Amazon Prime or Netflix could pick it up and make tons of money by showing Season 4. Keep it going. Being a summer replacement series means more people are not watching their televisions. Please keep it going especially now when will is in the pod . Most exciting part to learn what the heck Truely going on. If USA doesn’t want it pick up on Netflix. The Colony is an awesome show. The ending of Season 3 was the point of the show that put it at its highest point. I need to know does Will Bowman become a super soldier? I hope Netflix picks it up to continue the story.
