Live-action comedies created with kids and tweens in mind can develop loyal follows, which has not escaped the notice of Nickelodeon. Their newest entree for this market is the Cousins for Life TV show. Does it have the right stuff to draw a sizable audience and repeat viewers? Will Cousins for Life be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
A Nickelodeon sitcom, Cousins for Life stars Scarlet Spencer, Dallas Dupree Young, Micah Abbey, Ron G, and Ishmel Sahid. The buddy-comedy centers on 12-year-old Ivy (Spencer) and Stuart (Young), 12-year-old cousins who are best friends, despite the differences in their backgrounds. Once Stuart’s mom deploys overseas, he and his father, Clark (Sahid), move to Portland, to live with Dad’s brother Lewis (G), father to Ivy and her brother, Leaf (Abbey). Stuart is now in a whole new city, and he and Ivy are poised for all kind of adventures, if only everyone can learn how to live together under one roof.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

Note: For kids’ programming, the 18-49 demo obviously isn’t as relevant as the total viewer numbers. However, we’re including them so one could compare this show’s numbers with programs on the major networks and other cable channels.

Bad bad bad bad bad show, even by kid standards. Painful to watch. Kids could not act, I can’t believe they couldn’t find any kids in America for this show who could act. I don’t know why they even attempted this show with these actors. I thought maybe some acting lessons or direction would occur during production to make the show better, but that didn’t happen. I did like the concept in the show about helping and volunteering, and if they had found 5 people who could act (were there no casting calls, just family favors or something?) this show… Read more »
