Another television series has crossed over to the great beyond. The Crossing TV show on ABC has been cancelled after one season. The thriller, which made its debut on April 3rd, premiered with low ratings, and things only got worse from there.
An ABC sci-fi drama, The Crossing stars Steve Zahn, Natalie Martinez, Sandrine Holt, Georgina Haig, Tommy Bastow, Rob Campbell, Rick Gomez, Marcuis W. Harris, Grant Harvey, Jay Karnes, Simone Kessell, Kelley Missal, Luc Roderique, and Bailey Skodje, with Luke Camilleri recurring. The story unfolds in the small Oregon fishing town of Port Canaan, when 47 evacuees from a war-torn country wash up on the shore. The newcomers aren’t just any refugees seeking asylum — they’re Americans from 180 years in the future.

Figures this was a good show it was something different from the same old dumb singing competition shows such as the voice and American idol which are on two to three times a week and everyone does the same thing …..sing!

Different? Stop joking. It deserves to be canceled. For time traveling shows you can pick up 12 monkeys, Timeless, continuum…
Stop trolling this board, this was a decent show and it’s a shame it was cancelled… and yes, we did have an abundance time travel shows this season, but I’d be hesitate to even classify this as one – time travel is not a major element of the show, just a plot device. As for the other shows you mentioned all are more or less good, but that don’t mean this show isn’t as well (or wouldn’t be if given more time). This show has a great storyline. They always cancel the good ones . I looked forward to watching each episode. What a shame.

I agree with PhilS. The networks are not giving show enough time develope. In this day in age people are so busy with there lives that they rely on DVR’s to watch TV and they probably can’t watch anything until the weekends roll around. The networks need to start listening better to what the viewers want to watch instead of going by the so called rating system that they go by.
I never watch ABC, but I thought I’d give this one a try. I liked it. I was watching each episode. I thought Steve Zahn was doing a great job as the sheriff/dad. I guess there’s no point in watching the remaining episodes, presuming that they will air.
Networks are not giving shows enough time to develop and this is a good example.

That is absolutely ridiculous. It reminds me of when CBS tried to cancel Jericho, and got bombarded by nuts…. literally. That was 10 years ago, and I decided to never watch a CBS series again, and I have not. Rotten Tomatoes has them at 66%. Now, who decides the 66% rating? NOT the general public who are the ones that sees the commercials and advertising, and buys those products as a result of the advertising. It is so-called experts who are paid to give their opinion. Love the new series Siren. Look forward to watching this show as much as I do watching The Crossing. Siren has a Season 2. Obviously Freeform knows how to keep viewers.
Excellent show with a strong storyline, too bad nobody took the time to watch it. I was catching it on Hulu

If you like this type of stories you better watch 12 monkeys which is deeper in story and acting. I love 12 monkeys btw, it is enough good that not canceled and going to finish in the next month with a proper and thoughtful end.

Yes good to be canceled, it was Another boring time traveling show who wanted to change the past for future, like previous shows 12 Monkeys , Timeless…
Only 12 Monkeys is the best one with deep acting and story deserve to be watch till the last episode.
I spent my money on this stupid The Crossing show.
Very disappointed that The Crossing is being cancelled. I enjoy a good science fiction show. Wish another network would pick it up. Intriguing concept. Not many good shows on TV theses days even with 1000’s of channels. Sick of good shows being taken off so fast. Hardly had a chance. Should be another way for shows to stay on – rating system may not be so fair after all. Again very sad about this cancellation – one less show to look forward to each week and I only watch a few due to lack of quality and my interests.
This sucks! This was one of the few new shows that were interesting and I looked forward to watching. Steve Zahn is really good in it and it was great to have a good new sci fi show to watch. WTF

I have not been looking forward to seeing a show as much as I looked forward to seeing The Crossing in a long long time. I thought it was unique, heart warming, full of suspense and action! We just keep getting the same weekly shows over and over again. The actors are different, the name of the shows are different but the shows are pretty much all alike.
